Looking for ideas on what to put together, want something pretty top end that will last me a decent stretch of time. This price excludes monitors which i will be purchasing later on. I am also looking at setting up 2 or even 3 4K monitors. So any help would be appreciated! That price is Australian Dollars too so if you could use www.ple.com.au for the parts that would be great
5k? I'm pretty sure you can pick the best of each category and go with that, even with a 980ti, and a 1TB SSD youll still have massive amounts of cash to fill the rest!!!
He is from Australia, so you gotta add something like 50% cost to every part of the PC. lol For example: https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=620290 I tossed a few parts together to get an initial idea and it ended up around $4500. Ill fine tune and get something solid together later today
Enigma you are a boss. Thanks heaps. I tend to get incompatible parts on the odd occasion so help is always appreciate!
Oh and a few parts stores are: www.netplus.com.au www.ple.com.au www.austin.net.au www.pccasegear.com These are the only ones i will buy from here in Australia
in canada here and just spent 1500 on a 1440/144 monitor and a fury card... prices out side of usa suck
Sorry it took so long for me to get this together for you. I came up with a pretty good build and kept it under budget a ways too. https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=613579 https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=617697 https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=620318 https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=620290 https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=613556 https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=620518 https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=619955 https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=617246 https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=617290 https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=617288 https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=612203 https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=620010 https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=619890 https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=608901 https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=613132 https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=614084 If you start knocking things off that you dont need then let me know so I can see if other areas could be improved more. For instance if you take out the monitor then with the money saved from that and being under budget you should get a 2nd graphics card. You could also check those other sites you listed to see if the same parts are cheaper at other places. Do you have the space for a 40" monitor? If so I would highly recommend this one instead of the monitor I listed above: https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=617148 That is basically the same monitor I have and I love it. The MVA panel it has is far superior in image quality to any other panel types I have seen outside of OLED. But not everyone has space for a 40" monitor on their desk
Ok i knocked a few bits and pieces off so the price is down to $3600, a 40" monitor would be a touch too big for how close i am sitting on my desk. Also can i double that RAM with the same motherboard or would i need to change that board to a quad channel board. Which in turn could result in having to change a few other bits and pieces.
For those of you who are interested this is my final build! https://www.ple.com.au/ViewWishlist.aspx?WishlistGuid=7f701081-3668-4699-8a1e-df91c5a77442 Hope you enjoy
How about this... Get your monitors from the place you had listed, however I am not sure I would choose any of the current IPS monitors that are 2560x1440 at 144Hz. Seems to be way too many Backlight Bleed issues. Personally I am going to hold out and see what the new Dell S2716DG - gsync 144hz will be like before buying any new monitors. Reference: http://www.overclock.net/t/1558309/various-asus-debuts-rog-swift-pg279q-144hz-ips-and-g-sync This would be a near Silent PC and will allow for better overclocking headroom vs the Corsair H Series cooler. Tip you all should look at PCpartpicker and just select your country and it will put in 90% of your local part suppliers. I didnt want to go to all different suppliers because i wasnt building the machine. If i was the one putting it all together then yes i would have picked pieces from different stores but i want a professional and neat job done! Also there is only $100 difference between ours once i exclude my monitors... So looking everywhere isnt exactly benefiting you too much.
I really hope that I am blind and just not able to see that you spent 4500 on a pc without video cards?
