Ok paid my 20 bucks, First impressions, this is like Phantasy Star Online 2 for Xbox 360. Combat is fun, but the flow feels out of wack from time to time. Customization seems interesting you earn unlocks by completing quests. Every class is built off a little map that looks like FFX, really cool look but not needed. You earn Cubes or whatever to progress from questing. Questing feels very on a set path, the quest areas are instanced and scale down to how many people are in your party. Haven't found a open world aspect yet to it. Seems promising for just a regular dungeon crawler if that is what you are into. Hopefully it will come out with more aspects than what it has so far. Til then they only earn 20 bucks from me! Darktide
Yes thats the comparison i was looking for. This game is a lot like PSO series. From what they've said so far, this CBT has a lot of the content cutout, there's supposedly a lot bigger and more MMO-esque zones to the game.
Well @Haedien if you want to play let me know. Darktide Foulmist is my name, and @gabrielthul is Gabriel Thul. Let us know! Darktide.
I only have time to try it out a bit this beta test, but ill prob play more during next beta periods~
Beta code giveaway not many left though http://massivelyop.net/2015/03/25/giveaway-win-a-skyforge-closed-beta-key-from-massively-op/#keys
Kinda sorta not impressed with this game... feel that it could go somewhere but the caps per week are killing it for me.
I don't think the caps are that horrible, granted I feel they should be like 1.5x what they currently are at least. But even if you're capped you can get Sparks of Mastery still by playing classes you don't have unlocked and doing PvP. Once you get to 3000 prestige you unlock 3v3 which is pretty great. After you've capped everything you essentially want to be looking for missions that give Holy Texts to upgrade your provinces which give you base stats.
Not having much success in PVP then again I'm a light bender, or Kinetic. I will be very interested to see the Alcy tho.
Lightbinder are usually really hard to kill because of their spammable shield and they do decent damage. It's also considered one of the most op classes in 3v3.
Game seems fun. But im knee deep in DOTA and FFXIV atm. Tho I would consider playing the game for PvP if there are any XoO players into it
Pretty fun to me, has a lot of character customization although everything is mostly instanced dungeons. There are a few open maps though, the game starts really opening up once you get to about 1050 prestige.
