Thought I would share this video that a designer made using UE4 to create a virtual tour of a home: I am pretty excited to see that someone could make such a realistic looking environment using UE4, because the majority of UE3 games looked very fake.
Saw this a few days ago and while it looks nice, it isn't a good example of anything. Static room renderings are a very different ballgame compared to a game. I'd rather see a tech. demo simulating the performance in game like conditions.
All the actual tech demo's I have seen are from much older alpha builds of the engine, but here is a decent one showing many different map types: remember that is almost a year old build now though.
I just bought a subscription for the Unreal 4 engine, I'll be whipping out stuff like this in no time!
I've been working on a game for the past 6 months, on UE4. You can do some pretty awesome stuff, and some absolutely amazing looking things, but a full game with dynamic lighting of that quality, together with the texture resolution and material complexity used for those tech demos, is still unfeasible with current hardware. Unfortunately. :<
