    Hey folks,

On some games (one was Archeage) i got this damn annyoing error that says "application was blocked from accessing video hardware". Usually the screen becomes black (sound continues or not) and the app becomes non responsive.

I've toyed with the Windows recovery time in the registry (set it up to 8) it helped for AA but not for the other games.

I'm becoming crazy with this thing.

I'm using a Gigabyte 780 GHZ edition at the moment on a 650W silver power supply, i never had this trouble with my 660 TI before and on most games i got no problem at all (like BF4 or Civ beyond earth, total war, whatever) but with heroes of the storm, for example, i crash almost every round.

I've seen a lot of stuff about this problem online but it seems that nobody got a fix :(

Try uninstalling any antivirus software you have.
If everything else fail, do a clean install of your OC and try again.
If that fails, time to buy some new hardware.

Well, somehow, i haven't had any error yesterday, i played a couple hours.

I've upped my voltage by 50MV, lowered clock and mem by a few hz, i installed all windows updates and upgraded to 8.1 with all updates again and i changed my Vsync so that it's at 96 fps now (to match the screen).

I have never seen that error before, but I would think it has something to do with a problem in windows. I am pretty sure that applications request access to video hardware and such, but the OS controls access so it can deny things. Something may be corrupted or possibly you have some security setting on that should not be.

Windows 8 changed a lot in how things are handled, so since you are on Win 8 it may just be issues coming from that OS and programs not being coded right for the new changes. If you go back to Win 7 you probably wont have the error any more.
