Haibane, it seems that KM is looking to do a lot of what your looking for. I would speak to him after the meeting. FriendlyFire, DnD: Next has a far more simple character sheet, and for anyone new to the world of DnD, it makes it easy for even the newest player to learn or get started.
For shadowrun I have digital copies of the core rulebooks I can share as well as a character generator tool I can walk people through. For Atomic robo I also have the rulebook digitally, I do not have digital rulebooks for Iron Kingdoms but can look into it...
Fraid not on Malifaux, though I have played Warhammer, Warhammer 40k, Warmachines, and am an offical Ninja(Think Demo giver/street team) for Ninja Division and play their tabletop war game Relic Knights .
I've played a lot of WH 40k over the last 15 years and have a huge amount of points. Dropzone commander is the other game im just getting into along side Mailfaux with friends. We use a program called Vassal to play online. You just download mod etc for it.
I assume this is d20 the program for live meetups. Any chance of a play by post? Or would people be interested in a play by post? Similar to RPOL style (but more friendly and with less dicks).
No, we are going to play on Roll20. It is a virtual table top. You never need to meet in person. We will however be able to use Teamspeak and have working maps with many cool tokens.
I think we will go over this stuff at the new games meeting, and for players who want to be DM's, please stay until after the meeting so that we can go over a few things.
Why not merge this with Samjizz,s gaming group? This could be like a sub-group, which would increase interest in the Game group, and also then in this project. I dont think theres a need to create an entirely new division. Never been into DnD, but always wanted to give it a go.
Sorry. I used the wrong wording. I meant the group is just for real time playing? If anyone is interested in play by post, let me know. I wouldn't mind DM for that (WoD, D&D5/3.5, Pathfinder, Shadowrun). Don't really have enough time in my week for meet up between gaming/work/and offline PnP.
Oh, I get what you mean now Riot... Yes, that would also be another way you could run a group. Many ppl dont have the time to sit on TS and just chat for 2-4 hrs at a time... it may be a good option for them.

Blazze, man its not D&D:Next its 5e! I play a lot of 5e. Got my Monster Manuel last night! I do the weekly public game sponsored by WotC, and run and play on Roll20. I can help with rules character creation and Roll20 stuff. Roll20 will integrate with Google+ hangouts, that what most of my groups use. It actually works better then roll20 and TS, We have tried it both ways and Roll20 as a solo application tends to have issues from time to time. Count me in!! I have a large selection of pdf's for PnP games so what ever we select I can help with the books.
I literally have like 4 people lined up for this if it becomes a thing. I LOVE DnD, though it has been years since ive played, and even then I had someone there to answer all my questions. Id definitely be up for this, but it would be hard to manage. Anyway, keep us up to date. We know how to use d20 and all have accounts, though making a dungeon / scenario seemed a bit tedious for us to plan out. So if someone plays DM we are game. Oh yeah, we are all EST btw.
