League of Legends Game ApplicationHow old are you? I am currently 19 years old In-Game Name? Phatty Ogre Do you have Teamspeak 3 and a mic? Yes Previous AoS | MoBA experience? I've played League of Legends for a while now. I never did get really competitive with it because I didn't have much of a reliable connection to the internet, and my then-current setup wasn't all that, cool shall we say. Both in a literal and metaphorical sense. Haha. Now that I have more-so of an actual gaming laptop, I've been getting pretty heavy into playing games more than just recreationally. My winning/losing doesn't rely on whether or not I dropped connection in the middle of a game or my laptop getting to hot anymore, it depends more on my skill level and ability to play the game. I've always loved playing games like LoL, but never have been able to, due again to my lack of internet and a good computer. I WILL say, on the other hand, that I've put more than my fair share of hours into a game called Mabinogi (you may or may not be familiar with it). My previous computer could actually handle that game (given I turned down the graphics settings), and I absolutely loved it. It's a lot like LoL in the respect that you level up your character, gain access to various skills and choose your skillsets and things, but it's more of an open world MMORPG but is very similar at the same time. I've also played a few RTS games like Halo Wars (I loved that one too) and StarCraft II. Why did you choose XoO: I saw a posting on TheTwistedTreeline.com saying that XoO was looking for members. I read the CoC and looked into this community a bit and decided that it looked pretty good. Being as there is a wide base for the games that are played, I figured that there is probably a pretty good sense of community standards as well. It sounds pretty nice to be in actual contact with the people that you will be playing with. I know that it would help as far as strategy and things like that go. Why do you think you'll be a good fit? I have seen that there are guidelines as far as being considered as an acceptable member of the XoO community. I know that I really love League of Legends and have been very active, especially recently. I definitely average over 15 hours of LoL play most weeks and am really starting to get into venturing out to discover my own strategies with different champions in order to try and be a more successful teammate. I know that I have a lot to learn, and hope that the members of this community would be willing to teach and demonstrate how to be a better player as well as a better leader to others. I always try to make it a point to not be discouraging towards new/less skilled players, because I know that a welcoming community can completely make or break players that otherwise would have been amazing in the future. I hope to give my contributions to the community as best I can and hope that I can do my best to work as a team. What will you contribute to the Community? I've had experience playing League of Legends, so I know a few of the ins and outs. This makes it easier for any future members of XoO that may be a bit less knowledgeable to the game. I strive to try and provide a positive gaming lobby when I'm put into the leadership role in any LoL games. This helps to have people work better together as a team and to brush of little mistakes than can easily be overcome within a game. I know that not everyone is perfect and not everyone has the skill of a Pro Gamer, so I'm going to keep approaching things with an attitude that there is always room for improvement, even on my part. I'm hoping that I can bring a good background knowledge and gaming experience to the table of the community and to be able to make a great team effort with the others. Localization: NA Do you have a referral? - A little bit about yourself? I am currently a freshman in college. I will be majoring in 'Information Systems Technology'. This can actually be perceived in many different ways since the actual interpretation of this is pretty broad. When I enter the workforce, what I'll be doing is setting up networks for larger businesses/corporations to where all of their technology will be able to interact with each other and the internet. I will then set up all of the security for that network and provide testing and support from then on. I love technology and have always been messing with it since I was little (which is sad given I never actually had a good computer or a good internet connection. I now have a custom built laptop with more than enough power to play LoL One notable thing about me is that I competed in Debate & Forensics for 3 years of my highschool career. So while I may not have been very competitive on the internet, I got my fair share of competition face to face. I'm also pretty active when it comes to the physical sense. I'm going to be continuing my track career into college as a pole vaulter and I really like soccer. Activity level? 24+ Do you have a high speed internet connection and a good computer? Yes Are you interested in playing on a more competitive nature for XoO, or more on a leisurely basis. One Day I may decide to be competitive. Have you applied to the League of Legends usergroup? Yes
I am hereby retracting my application. For a guild that requires its members to be on a minimum of 15 hours a day, days of wait without any form of contact is a deal killer for me. Especially being as this is such a big community. Makes me feel as though the administration aren't following their own guidelines. I still wish all of you the best of luck, and hope you have fun.
