I'll be skipping this series until they push the timeline into the future, I would instantly drop $60 for a CoD knockoff of Battlefield 2142 or the like.
Meh, the franchise died slowly and finally kicked the bucket with Black Ops. As much as I loved the older call of duties the new ones with their terrible arena maps are what killed it in the end.
+1 to Sokar, Esk. CoD will never be as competitive as it used to be. Skill gap is way too small. It sells more copies that way, since the bad players can do just as well as the good ones, and thus enjoy it as much.
I would get a futuristic COD game like Sokar said. Until then I'm sitting the series out. There are just too many of them.
Na, I'm done with them. They release a new game every other month and they are exactly the same bar different maps, and the maps are small and shit. In my honest opinion World at War still tops the modern variants due to its style / mechanics.
Same here, after almost a year of playing CoD 4 competitively I tried MW2, saw how dumbed down it was (bonus for deathstreaks, wtf?) and never played a CoD game again.
Blacklight Retribution is a much funner Arena game than CoD... too bad CoD4 was the last of good CoD games.
Don't think that Activision will ever get any cent from me again. Besides, BF4 is quite awesome since last patch and obliteration is too fun.
I'm not so keen on BF4 compared to BF3 and plan to look into Ghosts.... especially if they are going to make it for clans again. It could be good competitively... you never know!
