Giving a serious look at A Secret World. I'm generally ANTI-FUNCOM but this looks like it might have some promise. Do we have any presence in it yet?
ive played secret world on and off since release ive paid for it the entire time hoping my money would improve it and what ive seen from it going f2p is promising. The game is good IF you enjoy a game thats gonna give you a slight headache. I cant just sit down at my pc and go hey lets play secret world for 30 mins to an hour. The mass of story and lore in the game for me means that if you dont put time into it i forget the questlines forget the hidden messages if worked out and then cant finish the quest i was doing without redoing the steps again lol. Pen and paper is a good idea for tsw and after you get off the first island which is pretty much a good couple of days worth of content the game gets ALOT better and the lore and story pulls you in realy well. Just getting to that point however makes alot of people qq and its the reason alot of folks quit early at release. Not sure if xen hasd a presence there but hey its f2p what you got to lose in trying it mate. Just be patient with it and dont expect to much to begin with as the learning curve for the island tutorial is pretty long winded. Hope that helped
meh. It's fun but no real long term appeal. It's too much of a solo game where the whole time you are playing you really want it to be a multiplayer game.
Thx sokar I should have mentioned this. I played from scratch with a friend. Definatly helped with the whole big ass game playing alone is crap thing.
Thought it might be something interesting to play with my sons. Being a huge fan of the daggerfall series a single player MMO does sound pretty damn good to me. I'm generally pretty anti-social so solo stuff is right up my alley.
This game is perfect for you then. Half of the missions don't even allow other players into them. The class system is awesome.
