What is a good monitor. I am looking to add one. I have two of them currently but one is smaller than the other and I don't like it. I want a 22" or basically 1920

Honestly I love the Korean imports. They use LG's 1440p IPS panels that have been going in Apple Cinema displays, only the ones that were rejected for one reason or another. Sounds bad I know, but a very good majority of the monitors have no visible problems. You can look around the net at all the reviews.

My favorite is the Yamakasi Catleap 2B, I have it running at 120Hz right now and it has some of the lowest input lag of any LCD monitor too. One of the few models that can be properly overclocked and doesnt drop frames at the high refresh rate. It is the best monitor on the market because it has 50% more pixels than 1080p, runs at a much smoother refresh rate, and has the lowest input lag. No where else can you find a 1440p, IPS panel, and 120Hz refresh rate. It simply doesnt exist anywhere else. Not that you can buy these models, only at special times and the price has gone WAY up. But the non overclocking, regular models looks the same and are much cheaper. Bishop I think has one of these monitors too, ask him about how he likes it. I think others here have also got them recently and have liked them. The Achieva Shimian models are basically the same thing but a different brand. The Crossover models are the same too but have been known to have some longevity issues.

If you want the biggest and baddest you could go with the 1600p, 30", Leonidas model:

or the much cheaper 27" models:

    DVI input only:

multi input model + "pixel perfect" guarantee:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-YAMAKAS...t-Pixel-/120878749173?ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT
(not that pixel perfect means higher likelyhood of no dead pixels but the terms still allow for a few dead pixels even with the higher price premium)

    Tempered glass screen:

The special overclocking model< available as a tentative pre-order should another batch ever be made:

Expect the price to be somewhere between $550-650 for this 2B model

*also note that you need a top end graphics card if you wish to run these high resolutions with high quality preset settings in your games.

I think you thought you saw 27" rather than 22" =P

    oh. ya.

If you want the monitors to look best together, you should try and find the same model as what you currently have. Another brand, or even justa different model from the same company can have a very different look to it with the colors, contrast, and brightness.

I've always had good luck with Acer and, more recently, Asus monitors. I've currently got an Asus 24" LED that's about 2 years old.

24" monitors seem to be the mainstream models these days, seems like lots of 24" are 2ms, but very few 22"
Tons of people love this one.

    Hey Guys,

Sorry for hijacking the thread, I am looking to get a new monitor this is a pic why: http://imgur.com/wnKfA,p2VK1

I currently have a 18.5" packard bell that runs on 1366x768, I am thinking of a 24" but, it seems like it will be way too big for me by reading dimensions (That sounds so bad...). I debated 21.5 on 1920x1080 but then the 24" sometimes run on that too and if I get a 24 I know I will not just want a bigger one some time in the near future.... what do you guys reckon? Is 24" really that much better than 21-22"? The cost difference is so little, just don't know if a big screen will be comfortable..

Also, for people from uk/eu, does anyone know anywhere to get one on a good deal? As Rbstr linked, uk newegg is pretty good, and nerd...

    Cheers!

    Jase...wtf...you active again?? Oo

and yes 24" is much better.

i currently run 27" and 24" dual screen setup, and yes bigger is better in this case anyway...

i like the samsung LED screens...but there is better people to tell ya what screens are nice.
