WarZ is a MMORPG being developed that incorporates FPS gameplay with zombie exploration and PvP. Basically in a nutshell you spawn with the bare essentials and have to forage around cars, houses, markets, etc for weapons, ammunition, food and water among other things. The items are a bit rare in some circumstances at the moment so getting particular weapons or even a stockpile of food is an minor accomplishment. The game does boast a tactical element to it where players need to sneak past zombies as well as be weary of other players.

In WarZ there are currently two safe zones on the map where you can reach your global inventory and deposit the items you have collected in your journey. In WarZ if you die you will drop and lose everything and will need to start over. Once in the safezone you can equip and deposit any item you wish. This means that items have value and kind gives you a Minecraft feeling when you find an M16 as it is the equivalent to finding diamond in Minecraft. Food and water are plentiful as well as shotguns, melee weapons and pistols.

There is a lot of tactical gameplay involved as players will often kill you as soon as they see you since it is the fastest way of getting items. So if you cannot stomach dying or killing people in cold blood this game isn't for you.
Currently the game is in alpha testing which means there are a lot of things missing to make it an "A" game, however, it is still currently a great game overall. There are plenty of areas to explore and different areas to explore in the Colorado area (the setting for the game) from military installations to large forests to cities and towns. The game music and sounds are nice with a touch of intense moments where the sound will randomly pitch up to what can only be described as a "butt-clinch" moment. In a game where you are moving - trying to avoid zombies and players fast changes in the sound can really mess with you.

Overall if you are looking for a game that deals with the concept of zombies, survival and PvP on a very nice graphical engine then this might be for you. There are currently quite a few people playing it and are more than willing to help newer players with any questions they may have. The game does cost a weee bit of money to buy but that is the price you pay for an upcoming MMORPG - not a mod created for ARMA II which has its own limitations. While some aspects of DayZ are better than WarZ the things that will be introduced into the game should boost WarZ well over the top for a quality MMO. If you have any questions feel free to venture into the WarZ channel under the FPS division in TS or hop into the WarZ forum section also located in the FPS section. I know I plan to play it off and on in between MTGO and Guild Wars 2.

    ~ Cheers

Also, among the 20 or so people currently playing WarZ, we each have around 3 beta keys a piece to share with the public. If you are interested, get into contact with one of these people in our roster. Use the link below to access that information.

Love WarZ, been playing it ever since the press alpha. There are bugs here and there, but what game doesn't have them? Overall, I would say its a decent game to get if you are willing to pay a little bit for it.
