im looking for those extra ordinair coders among our community. im looking for those players who can code .Lua .php. .ini .inc .js and most of all .sql! what am i planing to do.. just for the fun of it all i want to create a game for our community. not one that has to draw a lot of attention but one that will keep us happy and playing together out side our base games if you would love to know more, im willing to explain it all in a meeting whith those who are intrested. this is going to be a XoO experiment. but not just for a few of XoO but for all of XoO so... step up step up
well if you want to help with that thats also great. but that part you can help out XoO in overall not just for this project lets just say that i have 80% of the work done already. the game is functioning. but then yet still a few bugs. and some idea's that are missing.
Great idea, reminds me of XoOoG (if anyone remembers that, lol). Although I dabbled in .php and .sql before, and am learning Java as we speak, I don't think I have the skills or time to contribute to this project. I can create music and am an artists as well, but again, I have little time to spare with all my studies.
I have experience in Java, C/C++, and while I haven't dipped into other languages I imagine I could grasp the understanding of most of them in a few hours. As a mention I am fairly busy in this fall season due to finishing my computer engineering degree as per signature but if something started up I wouldn't mind helping/providing resources and documentation for people. Also I have a pretty good solid grasp on mechanics of games/game-design in general.
I've worked with Java and C# a bunch and have a decent handle on SQL, I'm in school for Systems Analyst (ALMOST DONE YAY!) and am very VERY good in finding problems in applications(like a bloodhound, if it can break... i will break it) and would be all for helping you as much as I can when I have time.
Can we have the game be Kyoji showing up and then all interest in the games dying? Somehow graphically represent that???
How complex are you trying to make this game? Something simple like transform mice or everybody edits? those kinds of games are fun to play while sitting in XoO meetings.
Wont touch any of those languages with a 900 foot pole Poke me when you decide to get real and use x86 assembly
