wow this game is ftp but damn expensive...

an atlas heavy bot frame costs 4500 MC...4500 MC on the website costs 14.95 US for 3500 1250MC costs 9.95US

or in earned in game money its 11,125,000 CB. I have no idea how long it takes to earn that yet.

A while, took me about 8 hours to earn 1 million and that was playing with a team that won about 50 games in a row.

C-bill earning rates went up massively not so long ago, didn't take much time to buy a Hunchback and next up is a Gaussapult.

XL engines explode when you get your side torso drilled - standard engines are much better for durability. Of course by the time you've lost a side torso you might be about to lose the game anyway but there's always a tradeoff.

Also, take into consideration that XL engines are generally lighter that a standard engine..at least when you get into the higher model XL versions. Both purchases of my XL engine saved me a good bit of tonage compared to the standard engines I had. It allowed me to get more pew pew for my bots!

XL engines are always lighter, that's the tradeoff. More tonnage to spare, but easier to kill you (and thus no point taking CASE to protect from ammo explosions because you die anyway).

Except on Clan mechs where XL engines only rupture if you kill both side torsos, but those aren't in the game yet.

This game looks amazing...but it appears their website is down. Since I can't seem to find a way to download this game I'm guessing it's stillin beta? If so, any extra beta keys lying around?

Open beta should be only days away last I heard. Haven't actually touched this for a couple weeks due to GW2 and exams.

I think the only time I actually got around to playing it was at PAX :(

Fun though, wish I had time to play more games.

I've been playing MW:O since Open Beta started last week and it's a blast. I'm in a guild called The Skye Rangers and it's a ton of great players, many very into the lore and history of the Battletech Universe. Very organized and very respectful players. Since XoO most likely won't have a division for this game you can come join the Rangers and have a blast. If you want to check them out here's the link: http://skye-rangers.net/home

Been with Snow Raven for years and for some reason we seem to be able to beat everyone... so I guess I'll stay put.

Been playing it for some time now but I suck. I prefer the light mechs always have. I probably have 10-15 hours into the game but still haven't earned enough credits to buy my own mech.

We should have more players for that game, it's quite entertaining and i've heard about their release plans, they seem awesome (galactic conquest, factions, n shit).

So far, few of us play it very casually. If u play, please leave ur handle !

My brother bought me the founders pack for my birthday last year, I haven't played since they released the Spider but I'd be down do run a lance with a few XoO members. My callsign is FNTG
