    Guild Wars 2 Application
    How old are you?
    19
    In-Game Name?
Tal (Or something related, it's often taken)
Do you have Teamspeak 3 and a mic?
    Yes
    What is your prefered playstyle?
    PvP
What kinds of activities are you interested in?
Structured PvP. The biggest reason I enjoyed RFO, Aion, and Guild Wars was the well-organized mass PvP scenarios. PvE is enjoyable as well if it isn't too grind heavy or lonely. I do enjoy doing dungeons and raids (Like in WoW) but if every level I'm just killing thousands of mobs I tend to lose interest.
    Previous Gaming Experience:
RF Online (With XoO), WoW (With XoO Dragonmaw), Aion (EU and NA with XoO), GW, Starcraft, Diablo II, Lineage 2, FlyFF, the list goes on but those are probably the games I've drained the most time into on PC. (I've also beta tested several MMOs including Aion, WoW, ROSE, FlyFF)

The first computer games I really sunk my teeth into as a kid were Warcraft II and Diablo. When I got into Starcraft and Diablo II it all went downhill. As I learned about MMOs I played just about every ftp mmo on the mmorpg.com game list until I got into FlyFF. As a young teen it was an awesome game, but after a while I decided that 15$ a month was worth a quality game. I started playing RFO and to this day I have not enjoyed the PvP of any game as much as RFO. I moved to WoW but it was hard to find a balance between the competitive raiding environment of Sargeras and the relaxed "here and there" playstyle of the Dragonmaw division. When Dragonmaw came to an end I switched to my brother's server so I could casually raid and PvP with him. As soon as the English translation was released for the Chinese beta, I started playing Aion. Unfortunately, when the game launched I was turned off by the abundance of bots and the annoyance of leveling. The first few weeks of PvP were great but when I switched to the EU server to play with some old RFO guildies I fell behind on the leveling process and it was hard to stay interested. The grind wasn't unbearable, but getting PKed in the abyss every 5 minutes finally got to me and I decided to call it quits. Now I'm mostly just fooling around in WoW and focusing on school while I wait for GW2 and Diablo 3 to come out. (TERA looks good too but I'd rather focus my efforts on a single game.)
    Why did you choose XoO:
XoO was the most respectable, organized guild on the Cora side of RFO. I had always wanted to join but never met the age requirements. My guild ended up merging with XoO and the officers agreed that I met the maturity level to be a part of the team. I stayed with XoO until CCR discontinued RFO because it had the best members, organization, and community of any guild I had ever experienced and by then I was 18. The reason I'd like to play GW2 with XoO is the reason I have stuck with XoO for almost every game I've played since RFO, the excellent community and teamwork.
Why do you think you'll be a good fit?
I'm good at following directions. Both in RFO and Aion, I was not the strongest individual player in the party, however I understand that to win as a team, you often times have to take on tasks that may not be as exciting as you'd like. Even if I my job was simply keeping a tank debuffed or distracting a healer during mass PvP, I followed orders and did what the group needed me to do for us to win.
What will you contribute to the guild?
A positive attitude and a helpful teammate. As a junior in college undergoing an engineering degree, I sometimes run on a pretty tight schedule so I make the most out of the time I spend in the games I play. Whether I'm helping the guild in a PvP scenario, assisting in group PvE tasks, helping someone individually, or bettering my own toon, I will do everything in my power to help the guild progress.

    Do you have a referral?
    Senrai
    A little bit about yourself?
I'm a computer science engineering undergrad at the University of Nevada. My hobbies include playing music, golfing, skiing/snowboarding, exercising, and generally enjoying the outdoors. When I graduate I'm planning on becoming a game developer.
    Activity level?
This varies based on my workload but on average 20+
Do you have a high speed internet connection and a good computer?
    Yes
Have you applied to the GW2 usergroup?
    Yes

Derp. And then I saw the sticky. My apologies, this was still on the applications page so I thought it was fair game. :(

Don't worry, a lot of people do that.

But you're already a XoO member, so an application isn't really necessary. If you have a GW1 account, I can invite you in to the GW XoO Guild.

EDIT: Unless you left and are coming back. I may need a bit of clarification on that.

I'll have to see if I can figure out my GW1 account info, I haven't played in over 5 years but I had a 20 mesmer. I definitely don't have the disk anymore but it looks like you can just download the client now? (And nope, I never left the guild. I just haven't played in a division for a while.)

Ah then my timing wasn't too bad! I did indeed retrieve my GW1 account info. I'm in California on my spring break this week and only have my laptop with me but as soon as I get back I'll be getting in game. And by available, do you mean able to get on teamspeak? (I didn't bother to bring my mic with me.)
