Why would they be versus eachother? I don't think they should be compared.

Probably because both of them are coming out for consoles and both of them are RPG's coming out late in the year.

There are few if any similarities between them. GameTrailers needs videos to draw people to their site for ad revenue though, so that's that. :D

The fact that they're both RPGs doesn't put 'em in competition for me in any way 'cause I don't game on any consoles, and Dark Souls isn't coming to PC. Skyrim FTW.

Nothing is on the same level as Skyrim.

This is like comparing Fallout 3 to Final Fantasy 13.

Agreed, I loved Oblivion and the previous elder scrolls games. The mods that they release for those games make the experience alot more enjoyable as well after your done beating the original game.

Isn't Dark Soul the spiritual successor to Demon Soul? Which means it is basically comparing Oblivion to Demon Soul? Aka A completely different game type.

It is like comparing Devil May Cry to FF.

Anyways, if Dark Souls can once again give the updated vibe of Demon Soul in terms of providing skillfully rewarding gameplay I will once again purchase it.

    Damn that sucks..

Skyrim looks cool, but I wish they had more fantasy style environments like Morrowind instead of looking the same as Oblivion. I'll still get it though.

I'm really hoping to get a glimpse of all the PC version of Skyrim's UI before the release. If it's the same as the console versions' I'll have to think about skipping it. Scrolling through everything in my inventory is not something I look forward to doing. -_-

lol, they just want a excuse to talk about Skyrim. the games are nothing alike, that said, im actually waiting for Dark Souls with more excitement than Skyrim. I was one of those freaks that excelled at Demon's Souls uber-hard nature.

I doubt that Dark Souls is bigger then Skyrim, Bethesda said that everything in the background of Skyrim is an area where the player could reach (including the tops of mountains), they arent just there as a backdrop.

I will be playing both games though :) I have the collectors edition of Dark Souls pre-ordered (its $60 and selling out quick)
