Here's the first part of the LP for Terraria. Keep in mind this is *alpha* gameplay. This game's not even in beta yet. edit: Why does youtube hate me. here is the URl http://youtu.be/Udp5ozoYfxM
um, the one we have on my server? lol. Zombies can break through walls and certain things to get to you. I set which block types they break through, and how long it takes for each block. Also there are giants in the game that are kinda like boss monsters. Also there is a plugin to make a horde of monsters spawn at somewhat random intervals and mob a randomly selected player on the server. Basically it loks at the players who are on, picks one, and spawns like 15-30 enemies of random types all set to target the randomly selected player. Makes things interesting.
I dont understand where your going? MC does offer this and has nothing todo with Notch wanting to add more trees............MC you dont have to wait tell Notch adds this or that we can add it our selfs thus why I said MC has more freedom then this newer game. There also mods out there that adds alien invasions and a few others that adds mobs. There also a MMO/RPG style MOD, and many many more that changes the game play from just building and showing off what you built So from what iv read here you dont know much about minecraft at all.
You are basing this off the incorrect assumption that Terraria will not have moding. Which it will have. edit: Nvm you edited it to simply show you're blatantly trolling.
wasnt trolling but ok Still fact is i was pointing out to him what MC offers since he assumed there was nothing you can change which you can. Also dont think there a whole lot you can change from what iv seen, but we can see what they are going to do Also how are u adding the youtube stuff? are u just using the Udp5ozoYfxM with the tags around it? never had the issues before unless its a video that wont allow to be place on forums
I don't see how your lack of modding imagination should impede the modding community for the game. Do please explain how responding simply with the word "Yawn" to an argument is not trolling.
erm my reply was to your question.......didnt look like a argument last I looked. Glad u know me and how i have a lack of modding imagination just like you i guess ^_^
Well if you think modding the game would be limited based off alpha gameplay you are either extremely biased since numerous features arent even in the game yet or you lack imagination. I can think of dozens of things off the top of my head that you could mod into the game, including but not limited to: Entirely new game styles, new block types, new monsters, organized monsters villages, organized NPC villages that spawn randomly, a fuedal system of taking over area for multiplayer server and collecting taxes that shop vendors or citizens pay out. I am aware these things are also in minecraft but there really isn't much limiting this game that you can do in minecraft. This one is obviously more PvE based than Minecraft. That's the only difference that can come to mind beyond Notch's nearly maniacal control issues.
MineCraft is a survival game, ya atm not much there to that thus why there many Mods that add alot more things to the game where u have dif mobs and random events that can happen. But there always a limit to every mod type of game that is allowed. So thats why I said we shall see what the game will allow to be added, same for MC some stuff cant be done
I wasn't trying to say you couldn't. I was just pointing out this game is by no means "limited" as per his original statement.
For some reason they put the first 2 episodes in the playlist in twice. [ytp]4129CC1F5130E0C9&fs=1[/ytp]
am I the only one who thinks it's like a weird breed of dwarf fortress with metroidvania? that being said, Im so trying this.
The community relations director (Blue) stated that they have no intention of supporting mods at this time. That after the game is released if there is a large enough push they may be able to implement such functionality. He stated that they are fairly quick at keeping up with and implementing suggestions themselves.
Which is, well, stupid. People are going to find a way to mod it anyway, might as well support it from the get go.
