Its really, really fast. I was super impressed yesterday with it. Very streamlined feel and a definite upgrade from 3.

i hate minimalism, if i wanted it, id be using Chrome, or some satanic apple product, i like having everything at my fingertips, everything immediate, full capability and full information. making something brutally simple is not a improvement, who here listens to music? of you, who listens to a single tone droning on, or even old-school videogame bit music? how many listen to fully developed music; orchestras, rock, rap, techno, etc? if you read, do you preferr childs picturebooks and their one-line of text, or novels?

*shrugs* i upgraded, and spent about two minutes fiddling with the options to restore functionality and the 'old look', so im pretty content, its bit faster, abit smoother too. i just wish they didnt feel they had to bow down to silly trends, they had always had my respect for putting power over simplicity, but i guess nothing last forever.

You missed the point, it's simplistic and minimalistic, yes. But it is also fully functional. Everything IS at your fingertips. And if it isn't there is easy ways to make it so. They took all the wasted space that is your title bar etc and put it to use.

EDIT: I'm talking about Chrome BTW, FF4 does this to an extent but it's slightly incomplete.

For example, Firfox has a search bar for google etc. And a URL bar to tell you where you are. In Chrome there is only 1 bar that does both jobs. This saves space and helps usability greatly I don't have to go to a different box to search google it's always the same box no matter what I do.

Also FF4 seems to have taken a lot of it's design from Opera.

Well, I just downloaded FF4 I have a few complaints but nothing big. There are a few features I use in Chrome that are missing however most of them I was able to find addons that got me half way. FF4 is indeed a lot faster than FF3 but It's still quite a bit slower than Chrome. Especially in JavaScript performance. They've done nice work in upgrading it but some of the old clunky menus like the download menu are still around. Overall, I like it and I'm going to use it for a little while but I may go back to Chrome. Since there isn't much in FF4 that I can't do in Chrome but I found the opposite to be true. Most of the things I dislike in FF4 are visual things though and have nothing to do with performance. For example I really like how Chromes tabs when you reorganize them slide smoothly. In FF you drag them and they kinda clip-in which IMO is a downgrade. Also they have persona which are nice themes for FF but for some reason the background image does nothing for the new tab page. It just gives you a blank white page which is quite bright and annoying sometimes. But like I said those are visual things and aren't THAT important.

Honestly in an ideal world everyone would use the same browser. It makes developing for the internet horrible... different browsers display certain things differently this makes development a pain since you first design the site then you have to check every other browser to make sure it displays correctly (which it won't). Then you have to go back and redo the things that have cross-browser compatibility issues.

I like it, when I first installed it it kept my old theme which was incompatible and was messing things up, got a new one now and its nice.

I'm using it now, most of my plugins still work; I just had to enable the "Add-on" toolbar.

I have no complaints, or concerns currently; Only other thing I did was move the tabs to below.

I downloaded this a few days ago and it seems to be working great. I like the new look and the way things work with it. I've had no problems with my plugins and everything worked, well, right out of the box for lack of a better term.

I wish FF had IE9's rendering system. That would be the perfect browser.
