actually liked it. good character development and really pulls you in to the protagonists struggle with his surroundings as well as the confusion of quantum travel. really good mystery, plot, and a bunch of good honest reaction to how one would live / go about trying to get a job done if they were re-living 8 minutes over and over again. first half of the movie was tough and kinda mmmm, meh, but second half kicks in and the movie finishes very well overall.

trying not to give away too much and don't want to black out spoilers.

not something you need to see on the big screen, but I'd say you're missing out if you don't at least rent it when it's finally available.

If you have the opportunity I highly highly recommend checking out Duncan Jones's first movie "Moon" with Sam Rockwell.

I REALLY enjoyed this movie. I disagree with one thing you said, I think it's worth it to go see it on the big screen. Admittedly, the science in this movie is...far fetched to say the least, but the story told more than makes up for that to me. Personally, it kept me interested and constantly trying to guess what would happen next. Then there is a twist..for the first time in a long time in a movie, the twist isn't so obvious. Jake Gyllenhaal gave a convincing and exciting performance. I feel like this movie has several different aspects of different genres. It's set up as a scifi, but plays more like a thriller and unlike alot of action movies or thrillers, the "love interest" or what have you, isnt just some hot bimbo used for eye candy that can't really act.

In conclusion, this is a sci fi thriller that actually has a good plot and isn't reliant on hot chicks and big booms...I agree with the OP in saying..CHECK IT OUT xD
