Now I looked back a couple months and didn't see a post about this film which I found a bit odd, as it's quite funny. I purchased in on OnDemand last night and was very happy with the purchase. It really does keep the humor going throughout the film. And I have to admit. Everyone is great at their role in this. Will Ferrel, Mark Wahlberg, Micheal Keaton, Sam L. Jackson, and Duane Johnson all play their roles well over the top. This is probably one of my favorite scenes:
I watched this movie the other day, I was very sketchy before. But I am really glad I watched it. It is a good movie, and had me laughing throughout most of it. Plus the info they roll at the credits was food for thought.
Saw it when it came out. I agree it's a top-notch comedy/action flick, and it's a big break from the black cop/asian cop/white cop forumula that has been done to death. Gotta love Mark Wahlberg
I loved the movie was very good and funny. Also the rock/Jackson group was fucking hilarious, i loved every moment of them on film as well.
I'm surprised to see so many people rave about it. Don't get me wrong, it was funny and very enjoyable overall but I think Wahlberg's character just didn't work. Maybe I'm delusional on this one, I'm even a Marky Mark fan, he just didn't seem comfortable with the comedy to me. My favorite part is the beginning of the movie with The Rock and Sam Jackson though by far. Will Farrel is always funny of course.
I think he yelled to much? Like he raged the entire movie and that was quite redundant, but I think that added to the over the top hilarity of his character.
