I got bored of TES:IV really quickly, and the modding community wasn't as rich as TES:III so yeah I am either hoping for a better V or otherwise I am going to be just lost with what to do. I do like the horses and the houses with IV but III has the better community that keeps adding gameplay even now. Though this mod does look interesting, I may actually have to give it a try.

I gave Nehrim a shot to see what it was like. It's pretty cool, but didn't have me interested to drop the 40+ hours into it that they say it offers. And although it has an English version, this is referring to subtitles. All the voices and most of the in-game language is German. Some signs are in English, but many aren't.

They also changed combat to be more difficult (the difficulty slider does nothing). Such that you have to dodge and attack a lot, because if you just stand face-to-face and fight, you'll get killed by two rats. I guess the creators were fans of Morrowind.

The story goes kinda like this: your character received an anonymous letter expressing importance to meet with the writer at some mine, but when you showed up, you fell through a hole in the mine. You begin playing at that point and find the mine filled with trolls and a few other people who also received a letter.

When you eventually find your way out, there's a mage there who tells you he sent the letter and it is because you have the potential for using magic, which is unusual in Nehrim (the continent/province/whatever). He was unaware that the mine would be dangerous.

Once outside of the mine, I did what any TES-player would do... run around aimlessly to explore the world and ignore the main plotline. I actually didn't find too much that was overly interesting until I found a castle city. In it was some neat things like bards playing lutes, market stalls, an art gallery, and a theater with a concert by a band called Schandmaul. I tried finding the song on youtube, but haven't found it yet.

Hmm ive been playing it also and its not bad, everyone speaking german doest really bother me and tbh its a nice opportunity to brush up on it from the school days. The plot line is not increadibly brilliant but it is better than the original oblivion story at least and there are many nice little improvments and other mods that have been included.
