Those so called pre-made cliques are usually high school friends lol. Get facebook and start socializing. Don't make the mistake of being reclusive in the first few weeks of college. Make finding friends a challenge instead of a thing to accomplish on your "to do list". And communist, don't you go to University of texas or am i thinking of someone else?
Honestly, making friends in college is pretty easy. Just talk to people, you'll find that most people are pretty easy going. It gets easier as you go too because you'll start having more classes with the same people. Thus, you have something in common and something to talk about. The only thing I think sucks about college is the fact that all of the California state schools are trying to squeeze every dollar out of their students. Apparently, taking more then six units (quarter system) qualifies you as a full time student in their eyes now. That's one and a half classes...
Kinda gotta agree with Van here. Plus, you've only been there a few days so far? Give it some time, classes aren't necessarily going to be fun (at least for me they weren't). Gotta give it some time to get into things. Not going to happen automatically. You in a dorm or your own place?
Sounds like a plan to me Besides, who needs to be social in RL in this day & age. All you need is a good gaming community and a good MMO to be social. And..if your chic haz a gaming addiction too = :happy: :drool: :drool: :happy:
