My Droid is still relatively new, and I'm constantly looking for new/better apps than the ones I currently have. I see a bunch of "Top 10 Apps" posts on various tech blogs and website and it got me thinking...what are XoO's favorite smartphone apps? Best games? Awesome utilities? Best phone music players?

iBlacklist for iPhone. After years of being targeted by telemarketers, modems, and random retards, I now have the power to fight back.

    Twidroyd - Android Twitter app
    Shazam - Song identifying app
Chess for Android - self explanatory
Orienteer - Compass app [used in conjunction with NYCMate & Google Maps so I never get lost]

I don't do much with my phone.

Don't start playing Plants vs Zombies!

    Pandora is a must.
    Sirius/XM if you're a subscriber as well.
    Google Navigation.
Open Table <--- Seriously the most kickass app for when you're traveling or just hungry. Combo it with Zagat.
Tasty Spoon or Hungry Spoon can't remember the exact name.

What Droid phone did you end up getting?

Hmm, I've got my own ones that arnt on the market. I've also rooted my phone to get access to other things...

Best normal apps I would say are CardioTrainer (great app for running), Barcode Scanner, ConnectBot (ssh connector), Dev Tools (this may be rooted only, dont remeber),Terminal Emulator, NYTimes, All the google apps (maps, sky map, etc), Advanced Task Killer, Auto memory manager (probs rooted only), and finally a simple solitare app :)! Probs missed some off but dont clog your phone up with apps to be honest.

Shoutcast isnt too shabby for iphone.

Instead of listening to my music I can constantly listen to internet radio as long as I have 3g (unlimited downloading ftw :D )

Do the Android phones cache webpages? That is by far my biggest gripe about the Iphone, well that and not being on 4G.

Just started using an app called Streamtome. Pretty much can stream any folder you designate to the program and play it in ur app so right now i dont need to convert and upload to the phone before watching it lol. Took like all of 5mins to install. Password protected. Works great.

I'd really love to know if there are any music apps for the iPhone 4 for death metal, black metal, and industrial metal.
