Alright so I got a 100 bucks saved up, now I was thinking hmm should I buy a game, more AION time? USB headset for my PS3 so I can lol at people in MW2...or a new PC headset. I decided on a new headset for the PC, now only problem is I want a good headset with something that has a little sound card on it I know it exist because I had a creative headset that had a little one and I really really really REALLY loved the sound quality. I've been using some 50 dollar ones they're nice for plantronics, but my brother slipped them on his fat head and snapped em in two. I was looking at a pair of http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.169415800 anyone else got some suggestions? I'd really like a solid buy Was thinking of razer for another reason as well to complete my set http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.169416100/categoryId.35208800 http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.169417800/categoryId.35156900 =D
That first one you linked doesn't have a sound card. It's not USB. Anything that's USB will have a sound card, and anything not USB, won't. I use a Creative HS-1200 wireless USB headset. Good battery life, lasts up to 5-6 hours before a recharge. Only annoying thing is when battery is low, it starts beeping at you like a nagging bitch on a period. Other than that, it's touche. The built-in battery is re-chargable, just plug in the USB cord. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826158069
I own the Carcharias and absolutely love it. It feels like there is nothing on your head or ears, no hotspots, just comfort. THe sound quality is very good, with nice deep bass and clear highs. It isn't the best I've heard, but in its price range, I think you aren't going to get better. ANyway, I can't recommend it enough.
I've got a wireless router sitting next to me and everything's good... but I use a wired connection, so I can't say for sure it won't interfere with your wifi signal. It uses the same band - 2.4GHz.
Alright so I ended up getting the Carcharias, wow pretty amazing it's only my first day having em but the bass is so nice, listening to some music right now. Hip-hop to be exact and the bass is so nice. Only complaint is they feel lose, but when I shake my and tilt back and forth, voila! Nothing they are still on my head I guess it'll take some time getting use to having something feel sooo light on my head, gonna head into vent to test the mic.
I have a Sennheiser headset. They range from $35 - $200. Its quality, but I can't get the volume as high as I would like it for incoming sound. I'm not sure what model I have either, I didn't see it at Newegg.com. The boom mic is great and adjustable, but personally, the ear-pinching effects headsets tend to produce give me a headache after a couple hours.
To ressurect an old thread. My three year old headset finally broke last night and I ended up picking up the http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.169415800 (they were on sale at best buy and I was desperate >.>). I've been pleasantly suprised! They're very comfortable (after three hours I had forgotten I had them on) and I find that the sound quality is quite nice. According to some friends I was playing HoN with, the mic is crystal clear, if a bit loud.

Those are pretty sick. If i played more FPS where directional hearing was a pretty important factor, I'd seriously consider picking up a pair.
