Explaine your talent selection (theorycrafting source, specialization choices etc):It's pretty basic spec, I did not go typhoon as you will not use it often if ever in rare cases. Owlkin frenzy isn't a big dps increase by anymeans but I do not oom so I did not need dreamstate. So the little dps increase it does provide is btter then jsut haveing full mana every fight. Specced Imp ff for obvious reasons, what if your shadow priest dies or sumtin random happens, my ff will always be up and +3% crit. Everything else is pretty basic and self explanatory. 3. Your Age:25 4. Current professions and their raid benefit:JC for jewelers Gem's, and Enchanting for enchanting SP to rings. 5. How long you've been playing WoW and what PvE progression you've accomplishedlayed WoW since beginning of BC. Ran everything in BC except sunwell(account was hacked) Ran everything in Wotlk stopped raiding in Ulduar while on HM's due to deployment. Got back from that 3 weeks ago and started up in ICC. Talked to kilthak in ICC 25 if you guys were recruiting he told me to app. Don't know to many people here but have done pugs with a bunch of people from xen. 10. List your raid consumables and your method for maximizing them: Flask of the frost wyrm. Potion of speed, and fish feast. 11. List scheduling conflicts (include times for possible weekend 10mans):Navy, when I'm not there I'm available! 12. Provide your raid damage/healing performance. I'm not sure why you pick up Owlkin Frenzy. You shouldn't ever be directly attacked. I suggest you finish off your Improved Insect Swarm, drop Moonglow as well and toss 3 points into Genesis. Also, Glyph of Insect Swarm is a decently large DPS increase. I do believe since Starfall's buff you're better off replacing Glyph of Starfire.
Yea I have been meaning to play around with wrathcalcs about my spec a little more. There are many bosses that do aoe attacks and since magic spells proc it, i picked it up. As for Glyph of insect swarm, It's not as big as it is was before and is not even recommended to glyph anymore by elitestjerks. Seeing as I do not have IS up the whole fight would also contribute to the glyph not being worth. I keep Moonfire up constantly as I have 2 piece T9. As for moonglow yea I needed 1 point to move on down in the tree so I put it there instead of genesis. As you can see, not keeping both dots up the whole fight is why i did not spec genesis at all. Glyph of starfall is still the way to go I do believe. It will save you globals by refreshing your moonfire, in return allowing you to use wrath/starfire more for those cooldows you would have been using to refresh moonfire. Well why are you spec'd 2/3 into your Improved Insect Swarm if you do not bother to keep it up. Keeping Insect Swarm up is a priority over Moonfire, since it increases the damage done by Wrath 3%, which is kind of a big deal.
Yea, IS usually gets refreshed at the end of a lunar eclipse or when I have to move out of the way or change position on a boss, so when solar procs it's up. Moonifre is up constantly. Yes I agree, 1 more point should be in IS but I don't remember the circumstances, believe I messed up and forgot to go back and change it.
Just so you know, the current chicken we have uses typhoon quite often on saurfang and it pretty much makes the fight a joke.
Not sure if you name changed or what, but when I looked at your spec the other day it looked ok. There are about 5 boomkin points that are interchangeable and you won't notice a big dps increase or decrease. Fluffy stated that you will not be getting directly attacked but all of the area of effect dmg that hits you in ICC makes owlkin as viable as almost any of the other talents that are availible. Also the way you are implimenting the rotation appears to be correct if im understanding what you are doing correctly. I think that you should recieve a trial at minimum to see where your dps stands currently. Also I am a terribad at spelling so please do not correct me. I think everyone can understand what I am saying~
