Is there any scientific evidence that relates failing eyesight to computer usage? I call BS on these glasses. Not only that, the guy is a twit. I've never seen a more useless review of a product. He repeated himself so much. It probably could have been at least 1/3 the length it was. The only thing that kept me watching was some sort of info about what exactly it did and the benefit to users.

    Money grab IMO

I personally dont think there is any relation to computer usage and failing eyesight. Having grown up with computers around I have spent my fair share of time in front of them and still have better than perfect vision. It hasn't gotten any worse either. If you're going to buy these just send me the cash and you will get the same benefits.

I somehow have 21/20 vision even after being a gamer for so long...But I would love a pair of these. I don't normally have a problem sitting in front of TV's and monitors for long periods of time, but these look sick.

I fully agree on the twit thing, i couldn't listen to the entire thing just because the guy reviewing it was annoying me.

It's really not surprising, we're required to wear yellow safety glasses now as it makes everything much easier to see. I may pick up a pair of these.

I would still like to see a peer reviewed source. Not some guy regurgitating what the company has told him about their tech.

They look decent, but that guy is boring as hell. I mean seriously, 9 minutes? I would skip 3 minutes and it didn't even seem like I skipped a word.

Too much jibber jabber indeed, but cut the guy some slack! He's reveling in utter glory about those shades! lol

They're nice indeed... might consider having a look for them.

Okay, I got mine today. I ordered a pair of Weezer Frames - Onyx Color - Amber Lenses.

First thing I noticed, they are very reflective. I can see my eyes in the refection which is extremely annoying . This can be counteracted by playing in an extremely well lit room, which unfortunately is not the case for my PC, as I painted the walls with a burnt orange to absorb all the light and have no reflection.

Now then, just to see the difference, I took my laptop onto the patio and sat out by the snow. As you can imagine, it is extremely bright out here. The glasses countered that quite nicely. Removed all the glare on the screen so I didn't have to hold it at a funky angle to be able to see anything.

So, with my limited experience with them I can make a couple definitive statements. These are not good for playing in the dark, but tbh, if you're doing that you're destroying your eyes well enough on your own. If you are someone like me that uses an LCD in the car or out in the field, or a gamer in a white walled room that has a lot of natural light. These do make a HUGE difference. As you can see in the pictures below the lenses reduce the shadows by an extreme amount.

Okay, LCD TV with computer and console displays is a HUGE difference. You can see the colors so much clearer it's really not even funny.

Also, I tried sitting in a completely dark room without a light behind me, and I couldn't see my eyes reflection in the glasses anymore.

I stare at a computer for 40 hours a week at work then with my PC gaming, and my TV for console gaming, I'm pretty screwed.

I HAVE to wear my glasses even though I'm technically close to the screens anyway, I do try to sit as far back as I comfortably can though.

Speaking of, I need to make any eye appointment...

It's more eye strain than anything... as long as you give your eyes a break and focus on something off in the distance fairly regularly, you shouldn't have problems. My optometrist's pamphlets say so :p Granted, with gaming, that's hard to do (or remember to do), but take it for what it is... look out a window now and then ^.^ I believe the "ideal" numbers were a few seconds every 15 minutes, but I'll have to track down a pamphlet next time I go to an appt. and report back >.>

I think it already saves your eyes a lot by ditching the good old CTR monitors and replace them with LCD. I can remember squinting my eyes all the time and attain a headache after an hour or so when I still had my CRT. (something to do with the screen flickering/refresh rate I believe)

And my eyesight has gone a little bit in the past 10 years, think I have (-0,25/-0,75) but thats not too bad considering my mother has -2 and my dad a whopping -8,3 o_O'

And Vandiego thats interesting to hear. do you have some photo's to show it? I'm very curious!
