Just thought I'd share this. Myself and Dejet have been playing for a week or so and it's a blast going back to the original game.

The server typically has around 300 people on it at a time and growing every day. New accounts were done for awhile and recently came back up so theirs a large influx of new players.

If your interested find more info at http://www.project1999.org

Okay when I go to the forums emulator site to register it asks for a registration code? Where does this registration code come from?

Awesome they kept the exp penalties ^.^ it will mean something again to be an iksar shadowknight. I miss doing the greenmist quest line it was such a bitch haha but was amazingly awesome how much lore went into it. I still think Kunark was the best expansion in the history of games so much detail and lore.

lol wow.. can't believe I didn't see that before.. Game was so awesome up till they made the expansion with the stupid books that would teleport you around. I was sad when that was made..

I enjoyed Kunark, especially once I got my necro to ally status with them ;)

Sad it took them forever to finally implement the last Iksar necro chain quest... I still got it though, first on the server once it was released (as an Erudite even!) Not that by then there were a ton of fulltime necros hiding around (I think my server had maybe 10 prominent ones and we all hung out in the same channels)

it killed my wizard taxi service. and I loved the fact I could pop anywhere I wanted and folks had to run their arses to get places. made quad kiting in remote places soooo nice and fun. books killed that tho.

I loved being an iksar monk in Kelethin... pull the banker and jump off the platform and hear all the elves cry they cant use the bank cause the banker fell to death ^.^. I also miss training to the zone line and using feign death and see how many you killed did that on my necromancer shadow knight and monk ^.^

On a tangential note, I actually bought a new copy of EQ2 from Steam while they were on sale and reactivated my account for a little while. Pretty fun.

I liked EQ2 i just never found a good guild to keep me interested and get me into the higher lvl content so i kinda dropped off of it.

Edit: I still have a couple chars around lvl 40 i mostly played PvP Servers and loved hunting people down ^.^
