Final comments you feel could help your application: Really just looking for a guild that has consistent attempts every week on new content, consistent guild members logging on to attempt the content, have fun and not have power trippy people who think they are the shit and are all knowing. I do not focus on gear score but items that actually are better for my class and abilities to tank better and take less damage, i do have a dps set the gear score is like 4800 and tanking is 5272. Please take my app serious as i would be paying for a faction transfer and I would like to know that i have a spot for progression raids, and content on farm so im not just sitting and not being used. I think i play my class better than most people at tanking and very good about situational awareness and picking up and listening to ideas about doing something better, but if you don't play the class dont expect ill listen to you 100% of the time even if you have a dk alt and feel you do know. 90% of this xpact ive played the dk and so dont expect your all knowing for playing an alt
Everything looks good imo we don't have any main spec DK's which could be a plus. The only thing I would recommend is to switch out glyph of disease possibly for glyph of death strike to help with threat. Although I haven't tried out tanking in 3.3 with the new change to Rune Strike. Your gear choices and gem choices are correct. And trinkets too having stamina trinkets is the best for a DK tank. The only thing i would say is try to get your Sons of Hodir Rep up to exalted for shoulder enchant. Also Sigil of Insolence can actually be a major threat loss. You should consider using Sigil of Virulence it will generate a lot more threat, but it is situational. I will talk to other officers
definitely a solid application with but a couple of easy fixes to worry over. before we have you pay to come over, id like to see how at least 1 more raid night post patch pans out to see what kind of room we would have.
Sounds good to me just keep me updated on everything, and my only question about the sigil is that when ever i use rune stike, which is the primary attack, it gives me 200 dodge for 20secs, and having that up the entire fight, lets me use rune strike more. Hence forth more threat.
Well the Sigil of Insolence is good for hard/fast hitting bosses such as Agalon. As a Blood Tank a lot of your threat also comes with HS. The the extra Strength you gain from Sigil of Virulence causes your HS and your RS to hit harder leading to more threat generation. I'm assuming you using the rotation IT - PS - HS - HS - DS - HS - HS - HS - HS - IT - PS, and throwing in RS whenever its up obviously. With the Chill of the Throne Debuff Reducing Dodge by 20% the new Sigil of the Bone Gryphon will probably be the best for ICC.
The importance of the extra dodge from the sigil he is using now is amplified by the debuff that comes with IC. It appears that procs are applied after the debuff making the DR on them significantly less.
ill probably spreadsheet that to test... but i think that's less important than trying to balance out raid spots and wait lists against current trial members etc.
while RAWR has many shortcomings, you may want to investigate the sigil choice: this is with chill of the throne applied. its about twice different in reverse without that debuff. but im a big fan of base stats as others can attest... it could be "after" as you say, but as nearly every tank has over 20% dodge before it, i don't think before or after should play a role in DRs whatsoever.
I am just going off what i heard mentioned, I have read nothing about the procs. I heard someone mention that a dodge trinket was giving like 8% in ICC which means that it was applied after the debuff.
200 dodge isn't 8%. its 4.4% and if you have 24% to dodge -20% debuff + 4.4% dodge = 8.4% dodge. for 19% - 20%= 0% + 4.4% would give you 4.4%, but as i said, any decently geared tank has more than 20% to start with. applying after only helps those who don't have the gear we look for anyway. the debuff is not multiplicative and treats dodge from agi defense or rating as far as i can tell. (my 29% => 9%... i use strength libram)
we will look into this should we reach a point where we can in fact ensure you have a spot as per what the app requests.
