Well, I got the HTC Droid Eris this past weekend, and it's the most amazing phone that *I've* ever owned.. Until recently corporate policy kept me from having a phone with a camera on it (not allowed to take it in the building, woulda had to leave it in my car). So my baseline is pretty low.

The first phone I upgraded to took about 5 minutes to inventory the songs on the micro SD card that never left it (LG VX8360). It handled income calls while listening to music very well, but if I needed to make a call, I had to get out of the mp3 player, make the call, and then wait 5 minutes again. Did not like.

Eris is significantly better - I can listen to MP3's and surf, make and receive calls, and the MP3 player only swaps out when it has to, picks back up where it left off. A few squirlies with it. I had it lock up on the MP3 player - it locked the display and then would not let me unlock it. I had to remove the battery to fix it. And I cannot always get to the address bar in the browser, but I think that's just me not yet figuring out how to drive it, tbh. And I'm still getting used to the soft keyboard on it - I have big paws.

So on the whole, I am very happy with the Droid Eris. Which is not the Motorola Droid, but I believe they are very similar in a lot of ways.

Well I have the Motorola Droid and its sick. Its Does everything the iphone does and more.

Its one of the most complex BUT yet easiest phones to use, it's a nice phone to own if your a social butterfly or needs something more for work. I will say this tho if you just want a cell for you know only texting here and there then dont waste your money on the new Droids.

As Hyrlcode post the droids can run multi apps with out one bothering the other one, like you know when you serf the web and you get a text and it pops up saying you get a text? well now in the Droids that dont happen all it does is make what ever sound you set your text to and a lil icon pops up in the top task bar to let you know you have a text, email, or incoming call.

here ill post a demo video

    Droid Eris
