http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/11/12/cnet.xbox.live.ban/index.html And they fucked the pc version for piracy.. Just shows what bs that reason was..
This started happening on October 28th after a new dashboard update. Luckily I didn't download the update and never went online since. I'm waiting it out. (yes, I'm modded). Don't get me wrong, I still buy games I think are worthy of my money. Afaik your gamertag doesn't get banned, your console is banned (even though the article says otherwise). Banned consoles cannot connect to XBL, not even to download content. Can't install games onto HDD either. People are saying this was done before the holiday season to increase 360 sales, and give MS bragging rights again for most sales, while at the same time punishing pirates.
"People are saying this was done before the holiday season to increase 360 sales, and give MS bragging rights again for most sales, while at the same time punishing pirates." I could buy into that theory Rubius; but at the same time, I think people already know which system is better and provides a better online experience though ?
I've heard the same thing, it somehow locks the chip in the console itself; wonder if a "refurb" will detect and "unlock" this or not >.>
"The Xbox Live team monitors players for not just cheating, but also for things like threats, racism, profanity, and just being an all around poor sport and ruining the game for others. DON'T FORGET MAKING FUN OF PEOPLE AND BEING NOT COOL GETS YOU BANNED! i thought they were a corp not care-bear.
They do what ever they think will earn them the most money. And lowest common denominator is where the most money is. Its where the most ratings are for TV the most votes are for politicians and the most music is sold. It's why TV is full of reality shows. It's why most politicians sound like morons to any body with an IQ over 110 and why poptarts sell the most CDs.
