IF YOU READ THE DRIZZT NOVELS STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING RIGHT NOW AND GO GET THIS BOOK. DO IT NOW!

Yes it's that good. Some are saying in reviews, and I am agreeing, that this is probably Salvatore's best work. So if ya love this Drizzt series, this is for you. If you've never read the Legend of Drizzt saga I'd say now is as good a time as ever to read it all.

HA! Good to hear :) I just was at the book store a couple days ago and picked this up!! I'm working on a Clive Cussler book right now and then this one is up. I am really looking forward to it! I own every single Drizzt book right now and a few of the offshoots. Cleric Quintet, Highwayman, The Ancient, The Lady Penitent, War of the Spider Queen, Starlight and Shadows, The Sellswords. All excellent books. War of the Spider Queen has to be one of my favorites so far. A great collaboration of writers I must say.

Wow Ryld I think I just came... I'm in love with you!! jk but my bookcase sounds sooo similar to yours :D. I haven't read anything in a while, cause of school, but I will go out and see if I can find this one. I don't have anything other than a Copperfields near me, and they suck. I'd rather have a Borders or Barns and Nobles. Anywho I really like the entire Drizzt saga, but I really liked the Cleric Quintet as well... Just so much epic in that series. Never read the Lady Penitent, or Starlight and Shadows, or the Highwayman, or the Ancient, but have the Sellswords, completed my War of the Spider Queen collection about 2 months ago. Also, as a recommendation, theres a series called "The Last Mythal" you should check out. Another series that I loved (still do) was the Avatar Series- a must have for any Forgotten Realms fan's bookcase. Details all the shit that happened during the Time of Troubles.

On a sidenote, do either of you or someone else know any books about the Spellplague? I haven't seen or heard of any and I got kinda interested... or anything about Karsus or the Tarraque? If you know what those are then you'll know that they're awesome, but I haven't seen or read any books about em.

The list isn't totally accurate either its hard to nail down a timeline in forgotten realms but its a place to start.

Novels dealing with the world after the Spellplague are starting to come out. Richard Baker has a pretty good series on the go called Blades of Moonsea. First one is Swordmage.

Really I mostly stop reading Forgotten realms stuff unless its a least a trilogy written by the same person and its a good read. So I haven't read ,most of those in the list. Swordmage was pretty good though. I think the last thing I read was the Elminster series up to Elminster in Hell.

I forgot about the swordmage!! I have that one sitting up in my room too lol it's been there for a few months now. I have so many books to read it's ridiculous. Having just started university I don't have much time to read anything except my course related material >.< kind of sucks. I get one chapter of my Clive Cussler book every few days if I am lucky.

I have heard of The Last Mythal and have seen it at the book store but have tempered my buying of books lately since I just keep buying them and not reading them since I don't have the time. I probably have 10 books I need to read right now.

All I know is that it will be a sad day when they stop writing the Drizzt series.

Also just picked up the third book in "the saga of the first king" which comes after the ancient which is called "The Dame". Good timing for all of these books to be coming out! right when christmas break is coming up in University. All I will have to do is:

    1. Swim
    2. study
    and
    3. read books

for like a month! :) The second book in the swordmage series is out too. Although, I haven't even begun the first in that series.
