Just wondering what people think of it. The previews looked sweet, and I love Tim Burton but a lot of the reviews sound like that the best part of the movie were the ones in the previews.
Although I'm a Tim Burton fan, I'm not going to go see it. I heard it's mediocre and that Tim Burton had little to do with the movie at all since he's busy with his version of Alice in Wonderland. It's been reported that they just threw his name in the credits to up it's ratings and all he did was supply concept artwork and such.
yeah, they pulled the "producer presents in big bold print" trick that gets most viewer's attention. However, I am looking forward to it since it does seem right up my alley
I found 9 to be good, though I really wish they had done more with the world and such or at least made it seem like there was more going on... something left me wanting more cause it wasn't 100% content with what it was given.... but in a good way that makes me wanna go back and explore more. -KM
I really liked it. It felt like a video game story to me. The animation was really great. The fights were interesting. Some of the characters annoyed me a little but I think that was the point. Spoiler 1 wanting to find a place to hide and quickly giving up on lost members. . It had a bit of a Fallout 3 wasteland feel too it which I really enjoyed. It felt a little short to me but that could be because I was enjoying it. It's not better than Taken, but nothing is. I would give it 8/10.
Not sure if you guys have watched this but this is the short film done that inpired the film http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IQcMeNh7Hc Kinda neat to see how it all started..I am going to go watch this movie this weekend, hopefully it lives up to its hype.
Before I begin I hope I do the spoiler part right... My friends and I were really siced (sp?) to go see 9, but when we saw it it was kind of a disappointment... I guess we expected too much. Anyway, the part that really pissed me off was Spoiler The dog... I mean come on where did it come from? Did humans create it and it turn evil? Did the eye make it? If either of these why is it the last thing left? And also, since when does science allow you to make objects that shoot green beams at yourself and transfer your life essence using something called "transmute vitae" that sounds a shit ton like alchemy to me But I supposed if you weren't really hyped about it, it was a very awesome movie
I enjoyed it, i think it rather hit the mark that I was looking for. I gave it a 7.25/10, which puts it in the same area as G.I. Joe, Terminator: Salvation, and Transformers 2 for me at least.
