Pretty much from what I remember of this at Pax its total war without all the resource management. It wasn't that bad but you really cant replace your units (at least in the simulation that they allowed us to play) yet it still has all the unit formations. All the tactics of high ground, running people into obstacles and everything like that. It seemed to be like an RTS without the Resource management. I didn't care too much for it myself cause it felt slower. Yet as one of the people pointed out, it was 100x more faster than normal total war games. Cause you got to the combat faster and everything else.
