  1. hmmm imageshack fail i guess

    its a pic of CPU-Z

    core voltage 1.328V

    core speed 5000.1mhz
    multi 50
    bus speed 100

  2. Wow. thats an insanely good CPU. Wish I had one like that, mine seems slightly below average :(

  3. yeah he sent me another picture with his OC gtx 580 also ... and another pic of the core voltage at 1.344

  4. maybe this works

  5. yep those work for me.

damn. Is your friend cherry picking everything she gets? :O

Crossing my fingers for a 10% chip =P, Erock what's your friend using to cool that thing?

  7. this one is not the girl running it

its actually a customer of mine that builds new rigs every 6 months and tries to get becnhmarks on 3dsmark haha

I have no idea let me read his texts

  8. ok yeah doesnt say anything about the cooler but i know its air and he is ranked 3rd or something in the air category he needs to hit 5.4

Also i watched the intel podcast last night on the intel retail site and they claim 5.7ghz is max OC on the 2600k

    I see... awesome thanks!

  10. You can try out 4.4GHz and it should be fine. If you ever get a crash, just set the speed back down. I only had you go to 4.2 for now cause its still overkill. Just set the CPU ratio to 44 instead of 42. The speed is the ratio x100

  11. here is 2500k at 4.5 ghz ... prime95 ... i hit 60 at max temp

was very easy to get stable at 4.5 and im happy with my results ... I doubt ill try to get higher as i see now point in it right now

So with a 2500k hyper 212+ cooler sabertooth p67 mobo ... you can easily have this!!!

  12. Those are some insanely good temperatures for that speed and load!

  13. yeah i could prolly get 4.8 5 easy but im happy with 4.5 TBH

  14. You dont want to be apart of the 5GHz club? :'(

That hyper is doing pretty good at 1.35v... I think you got one of the 10% chips =p

  16. oh come on guys dont make me do it ... peer pressure peer pressure ... i wonder how long i could hold the 5ghz for on prime 95 ... ill turn my tri cool fans on high instead of med for sure haha

  17. BTW i have not overclocked in years so im getting back into things ... if i could find some settings for a 5ghz OC i might do it

  19. Normally I dont like Hard Forum, but that ASUS rep posted a good guide there (and on other forums the same guide). It is pretty good.

    Highlights:

    PLL Overvolt = enabled
    EIST = enabled
    C1E = enabled
    VRM frequency 350 - 400
    phase control = extreme
    duty control = extreme

Offset voltage type is better than setting specific voltage.
Dont use high levels of VDroop, just 1 or 2 levels up from the lowest

Dont go above 1.45 volts on the core
Dont go above 85 degrees with 100% load. Load temp should be measured after an hour of full load

    EniGmA's insights:
BSOD code of 0x00000124 = need more vcore
BSOD code of 0x00000101(I think?) = need more VCCIO voltage
BSOD code 0x00000109 = need more memory voltage
DRAM voltage = never above 1.61 volts

any other BSOD error codes related to overclocking are really uncommon. If you hit other errors before a 124 or 101 then something is really wrong.

  20. damn man ... are you like a master genius or something hahahaha ... rocket science field?
