Let me first preface this thread by saying Andy Whitfield was a wonderful actor and is truly missed That being said, his stand in, replacement, understudy, whatever you want to call it, has taken more than Atlas upon his back and is doing a great job. The first episode made me feel a little weird, but at the end of the most recent episode I feel the series really hasnt lost a beat. The supporting cast is awesome and the writing is bar none. Gru
I was pretty worried after the first, second, and maybe even the third episode. It just didnt seem to be as great as the other seasons, but then it started picking up and now it is better. I still think the first season is better than all others, but this one cant be considered bad any longer.
I'm thoroughly enjoying it... and it's not hard on the eyes to watch too. Finally a show with some eye-candy for chicks. LOL
^^That is what I told my girlfriend to get her to watch it with me. Also, this season has had less gore than the previous two. I haven't seen the last 2 episodes but I also thought the series was a little lackluster initially. I took me about 3 episodes to get used to someone other than Andy as Spartacus. He was truly amazing in the role. I was quite surprised at how similar the features of the 2 actors were. The first series was definitely the first but I thoroughly enjoyed the last one and and I am enjoying this one aswell.
I haven't actually watched this yet, I went out and bought the prequel series and now I am waiting for the first season. So that I can watch this. Is it anything like the old Rome series?

At first I was kinda worried about the new actor but after 1 episode into the new season I'm already used to him... One of my favorite series atm for sure
I just watched the season finale... OMG! I'm so proud of Naevia! (won't say why - but you'll see) What a bloody, gory, sad, happy and completely satisfying ending. Only issue I have... is waiting a full year for the next season
So far the series is following what we know to be fact about Spartacus. According to legend Spartacus did do a surprise attack on the Romans, as to what he did to "HUMILIATE" them, no-one knows and can say for sure. Many people believe he captured and killed the leader of the army sent to kill Spartacus, while others believe he just beat him in battle, or drove his men away. But so far I have been very pleased with all the seasons of Spartacus thus far. Though the original actor was far better suited for the role, his replacement has done a fabulous job thus far. All I have to say is Crixus is the shit..... and my new idol.
That is something we can agree upon, Berch... Crixus is amazing... and mighty fine eye-candy. Now that's a man.

All I can say is 1. The previous seasons Naevia was more attractive and was a better actor 2. but .... as Kharma said Naevia finishs as a different person
