Planetside 2 ApplicationHow old are you? 23 Do you have Teamspeak 3 and a microphone? Yes Do you understand that Teamspeak usage is required at ALL times? Yes In-Game Name? MasterChaif Why did you choose XoO? I am currently a resident on Jaeger and have always looked for an organized platoon to run with. With the upcoming server merge with Waterson I decided to look up some Waterson outfits and heard that XoO is the most organized one. Localization: North America Activity level? ~30 What are your normal play times? (be general ex 6pm -10pm) 6pm-midnight play all throughout the day as well What is your favorite class to play? Infiltrator, starting to branch toward HA during large battles What is your favorite vehicle to use? I dont really have any preference to any vehicle and almost always play as infantry. That said I really enjoy being a gunner for Libs, Sundies, and Magriders You’re standing at a Sunderer, an enemy tank approaches over the nearest hiiltop. What do you do? First i would call out the tank, both over voice chat and by spotting it in-game. I would then switch to my AT MAX, if the MAX is on cooldown I would jump in the sundie and attack the tank using the sundie weapons. If the sundie starts taking damage and isnt being repaired i would jump out and switch to engie. You’re standing at a Sunderer, an enemy air-unit approaches in the distance. What do you do? First I would spot the air-unit. I would then dbl check to see if there are any AA MAX's deployed or skyguards supporting the Sundie. If there is a sufficient number of AA MAXs I would switch to engie and make sure they stay alive and supplied. If there is no nearby AA I would switch to my AA MAX In your opinion, which vehicle is most important to the game? Sunderer, I want to say all vehicles are equally important granted they are used correctly. However the presence (or lack of) a Sunderer can determine the outcome of a battle In your opinion, which class is most important to the game? I don't have an answer for that other than all classes being equally important though I will explain why I think so. Infiltrators (actually infiltrating rather than sniping) are important for being able to both shut down a locations ability to deploy armor/air support by hacking terminals while at the same time supporting allied forces by providing the usage of said terminals. Hacking terminals isn't the only reason I find infiltrators important but I have 5 other classes to go over. Light Assault I view as a skirmisher and is vital for disrupting enemy lines during any large scale engagement. While the Infiltrator can just as well disrupt the enemy the LA does so more obviously thus drawing the attention of more enemies away from our main force. If the enemy does decide to ignore this one LA they could easily find themselves without their sunderer. I will cover both Medics and Engineers as their importance (in my eyes) are tied closely together. The presence of medics and engineers can, just like a sundie, determine the outcome of an engagement, especially if the group is cutoff or lacks a spawn point. Engineers resupplying the other classes and, if a MAX is present, keeping it alive ensures that the group can keep fighting without having to worry about falling back to a terminal or sundie. Likewise with the medic. Knowing a medic is near by looking for people to revive can be enough for people to take the plunge and attempt to break through the enemy lines and disrupt their foothold on a cap point, generator room, or chokepoint. I view Heavy Assault as an LMG squad from Company of Heroes, except with a rocket launcher. Given a good position to set up they can hold a choke point better than any other class. One or two HAs can hold a room effectively against a larger force through suppressive fire and dumbfire rockets (as a deterrant to a MAX leading the charge) MAX is important because it is a magnet for enemy fire. Breaching a room with a MAX allows light infantry to get in and kill the enemy without having to worry of being focus fired since everyone wants to kill the MAX asap. MAXs also act as a deterrent to both aircraft and armor (granted it has support either by an engie or a nearby sundie/terminal) Sorry for the long winded reply and run-ons. Which of these traits most accuratly reflects your approach to gaming. Hardcore Structured Casual What type of Outfit are you looking for?
