HID Headlights

  1. Anyone install one of these kits into their ride? I am considering switching my fog lights over to HID, and then maybe the headlights.

Make sure you dont buy an Ebay kit. Legit HID's 5000k - 8000k sets are going to run you a couple hundred. anything less than that, buy a fire extinguisher too.

  3. very very true

I put in a set of HID in my 94 camaro ... actually took out my sealed beams and re ran wire and new projector lenses ... cost me over 600 for everything ... never had a problem because i got all OEM bosch and hella stuff

DO NOT BUY CHEAP SHIT IT WILL BURN UP AND FLICKER!!!

Take this from me who is pimp and did it already ... good thing my last 2 cars already have bi xenon

  4. Yeah I saw those 35.00$ kits on Ebay ... they look suspect

What model or distributed should I use? I have 5202 fog lights, which is where I was gonna start the conversion.

  5. PLEASE DON'T BUY A 13k-16k KIT!

For your fogs to work properly you want a "yellower" light. That means 4k-5k. Blue lights will not improve your vision at night.

  6. I was going to go 5000k or 6000k but that was it

  7. How about this please don't do this, cause people who have these things blind my ass when they are behind me on the highway and I wouldn't want to be cursing up a storm because I can't see and it's all your fault.

  8. See ... those are the asshats who do not replace the housing, only the bulb. The stock housings are not designed to accommodate a HID bulb and thus the blinding miss-aligned beams you see ( or dont see)

Plus dont you live in New Hampshire? Its the wild west up there anyways lol

Actually KM. HID Light don't emit a very bright radiance outside of directly looking into them.

Flourescent bulbs do all the blinding really. HID's hardly blind oncoming traffic people.
