I was really interested in fortnite, but then they made the game a pay to win pay to play early mess :/
To be honest it really isnt p2w. All the currency you can get in game. The battle royale mode is totally normalised atm. No perks for cash at all

Nah, still just the Llamas, rare chance on maps... like ridiculously rare. But... thats all irrelevant to the Battle Royale mode which is basicly a pared down PUBG. Everyone has same stats, only guns are those that you find. Nothing from the PvE game carries over. Supposedly the only cash items for the BR will be cosmetic, we shall see. Its a fun lil thing to pass an hour - its not the next big thing.
I actually got on there... the new survive the storm was fun. Just need a very coordinated team with gear. Started doing some of the other quest stuff too. The tickets seem like you can kinda farm them now, still up to RNG to pay off big.
played the battle royale version the last 2 nights, its a fun change of pace from pubg but ill be sticking with pubg as my main face shooting fix for now. they did already tweak fortnite for it to play a little slower already
