I played it, but need more time with it. I did get invited to another alpha/beta this weekend. I didn't care for the keyboard controls very much. I might give it another go with a controller.
We had Alpha keys for this for going to the Ubisoft area. 4v4 combat but they had been testing larger scale if I remember right. @Ani I think got to talk to them more?
Efi had the Alpha. Video is here: I had a play around and its actually pretty fun. Its not a game you will ever play for hours at a time i dont think but its a great filler. Pretty sure there are more classes and a PvE style campaign mode since then though. Both me and Efi agree with Tasty though - the controls feel a little unnatural at first but you do get used to it. As for the PvP. Dominion is 4v4 but there is also 1v1 and 2v2 modes.
hmm is it only for this weekend or the cbt goign forward? I have a solid 15-20 hours of grinding to hit my goal for bdo this weekend, id probably only get one night in
I watched some stream on it, and the max is 4v4 players. I had the impression there would be RvRvR battles, and a wider scale battle. 1v1, 2v2 or 4v4 is the max. For $60 that they are charging, I'll pass.
I closed-Beta tested it this weekend. Highest count was 4v4 - no RvRvR. Doesn't mean it's not coming, and admittedly I'm not particularly plugged into it, but I haven't tested it yet. Definitely recommend using a controller if you have one - the learning curve with a controller seems to be MUCH less steep. I would consider myself "average" or "slightly below average" when it comes to how fast I pick up games and how long it takes me to adjust to unusual layout configurations. Beta testing streams:
