  2. Yea I've seen a few videos around for a while about this stuff. It's awesome. I wonder how often you need to reapply.

Apparently it's great in theory, but the surface is incredibly fragile and not made for regular use. If it's scratched or knicked at all, the hydrophobia vanishes.

I personally would like to see a really durable version of this used on a boat hull. Imagine how fast you could go.

  4. says lasts 6 years..if it is not being rubbed

  5. The part with the glass is pretty crazy. Awesome stuff!

    What is this sorcery?

  8. can't... stop... watching

  9. If you put it on a boat hull you would sink to the ocean floor seeing as how you would repel the water.

  10. So submarine use only then?

  11. I think it would be more like a land vehicle. if you take the water out of the equation it essentially have a submerged tank. The only way I can think of getting around this would be some super floaties and buoyancy only works when you are actually touching the water.

  12. Now there is a fun thought. We should coat our tanks in this and then we can sneak attack people by driving our tanks across the ocean. mwahaha
