I think it's a problem with the way that the new forums handle images uploaded to them, because even with the permissions to have an animated gif in my sig... I had to wait until just regular images were allowed via the IMG tags. Until then, it did the same thing as the avatar (just showing the first frame). Also, my avatar is animated too :(

You don't have permission to access /mort/images/animort.gif on this server.

Awesome example of why animated shit invites problems in the long run.

EDIT: Any medical problems caused by this are not my fault.

that one would be file size...477.1 KB (488553 bytes) but let me set admins to be able to upload larger files so I can test that one and see what happens...

ok nope it still doest't work.
I will check the vb forums and see if there is a bug with that... a new version of VB came out today with some bug fixes actually, but I have yet to see hendricks online to get it.

looks like if it has to resize the image, that it doesn't reconstruct the gif... which makes sense. I'm trying to resize my other one myself to see if it'll work then.

I will double check to make sure the can upload animated avatar is on, but we will have to find some smaller ones then that ;)

I see Yizelin has mario and the princess working.

You might be able to hot link it instead of upload it if it's too big? maybe it will resize it for the display but not break it.

is there a way to resize without losing the animation? that's pretty much what it used to do. I'm going to have to hunt through my PC at home and see if I have a smaller version anyways.

Weird, it goes through once and stops.

please post image size in KB, and diminsions if you find graphics that are not working. (also if it's for a sig or avatar and if it's animated) That way I can look into it :)

A link to the graphic would be great too so I can test it a bit
