Fileplanet has some Champions Online beta keys now. I just picked one up.

If you're interested, give it a shot before today's keys are gone.

Champs as far as I know will have a montly fee. they are selling 6 month and lifetime subscriptions already as far as I know.

Closed beta is over as well as far as I know. (friday was the last of the play tests)

Not sure if that breaks NDA or not, if so someone remove it ;) but as closed is over, I think it's ok to post it.

Since NDA is pretty much GG here are some of my thoughts from CB:(on powers)
    Melee was combersome
Power Armor was a beast before they nerfed it to be like all the other power sets
    Lightning is fun as hell
Teleport is my fav travel power by far.

Heard that the PvP is a gank fest, though i did hear that the character creation system is great but i have a feeling that the character creation and the graphics are going to be the only good things some what simliar to CoH/CoV.

There were so many broken powers that PvP didn't really stand a chance. I don't know how it is lately, but last time I played (about 5-6 weeks ago) there were still lots and lots of broken overpowered powers that would allow me to never die and kill everyone else in PvP without even trying. I'm assuming they would have all those fixed before release.

I would'nt assume when dealing with Cryptic Studios, they release games early before they are even finished. CoH/CoV will always be perfect example and Cryptic just cant seem to not release a MMO that is full of flaws, un-balanced classes and huge lag crashing and bug issues. They seem to be still making the game whilst it is released you just dont feel like you are playing a polished product(probably will take them over a year to truly finish the game like CoH/CoV from what i have seen and heard from others).

If you enjoyed CoH/CoV(which i did not) im sure you will enjoy this game. To anyone thinking of moving to this from WoW or some other polished MMO, i would be very cautious.

If anyone wants to know how bad this game is, Cryptic have already released a huge 3GB patch for the open beta which has barley been up. Shows you that they are still making the game, which is unfinished.

But i need an MMO, and i can't grind 200+ hours to get max level in aion. I'm really iffy on crimecraft too. And GW 2 is a long way off.

Crimecraft is not an mmo, I think you're stuck with Aion if you want a semi-decent modern mmo heheh. They are charging way too much money for CO, when it is only CoX 1.5 at best.

well for the last day of beta, CO was looking good.
    and fun enogh.

i think the game coud have use 1 more moth, for balance and stability isues.
that last week with open bate was full of lag.

    but going back to topic.

the game is fun, casual, i think with the first moth of play you coud, know that if it was more like GW that game was going to be full all the time.

to bad the MMO market is to competitive, and MMOs are to time consuming even so gamers dont pay for 3-4 MMOs. unless you have a good job and you dont care paing 60 bucks a moth.

i think this is one of those cases where i woud not buy the game but i want to play it now and then with frieds!

to bad with my exchange rate, its more like 200!

i know, but well its out there, and like most other MMOs right now a its a Beta lauch.

its hard to think how much presure your company needs to be to keep the datelines, but yes most of the MMO released these days feel like beta.

but if the game is fun enogh or you like the seting, most of us can undure it for the first months.

but yeah with the progress they where doing 1 more moth woud have been grate for power balance.

i was doing ok with claws on friday, on sutarday they chnge it, on sunday i was complaining like every one else, on monday the game was live, and like that there is a lot
    of stuff.
but yeah power balance was not there jet.

i liked my force Shadow, guy, it was fun Shadow had a lot OP parts.
might, was still not good enogh
    power armor- was still OP.
    most elements where good enogh.
amunition had a lot of problems, but was cool as hell.
martial art- they all sucked (to little number of skill in comparation with other trees), they where all the same and they did changes like 3 day before going like with out time for real feadback.
Supernatural was fun and some times OP, but then they nefet it badly.

o well, to much to tipe at work.
