I think it ceases to be a pizza when you require a pie dish to prepare and cook it in. on a related note: When Dominos had the Cripsy melt.. which was essentially 2 pizzas on top of each other. I would get a Pepperoni, Bacon, extra cheese, with extra provolone and sauce (the provolone was added on top of the actual 2nd shell and I found that it acted as an adhesive so it wouldn't fall apart instantly like the first 2 times I ordered the pizza). Massive, delicious, fed me for days, absurdly cheap*. *probably why they don't sell it anymore.
That's disgusting. Not even eatable. And besides, the title is a lie. The best pizza ever is the Detroit style from Tomassos in Cedar Rapids, Ia. I know we have a few others from Cedar Rapids/Eastern IA, maybe they can back me up. It's incredible.
Who the hell would ever eat hot mayo. That's just nasty. I've seen some crazy pizza places put some nasty shit on pies downtown but I've never seen anything like that. If you wanna eat something that will kill you and is f'ing fantastic give this a try. http://www.bbqaddicts.com/blog/recipes/bacon-explosion/ Mine took me 4 hours but was well worth it.
haha, yea be sure to precook the bacon that goes in the center. Just be sure to arm yourself with a good thermapen all the same.
