Bashiok with more Info on "Fury Balls"

One more late addition, when a fan asked about how quickly Fury would build up.

In D2 news the patch has been delayed. Pretty obvious since it's not out yet.

Bashiok revealed a new change to the Diablo III UI that many might agree with. You no longer see a floating bar above the head of mobs or bosses The current build displays boss and unique monster health bars at the top of the screen, while normal mobs health bar will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. It makes it more Diablo II friendly, and less WarCraft III-ish.

Below you can view an example of how it looked like at Blizzard WWI 2008. The health bar atop the head gave it a look that is not akin with Diablo II.

Yeah, good move IMHO. It's a minor thing, but still.

Possibly no Weapon Swapping (Say it ain't so):

    Source

As mentioned in the source there were tons of uses for weapon swapping in D2. Personally I never felt like 2 was enough. I think 4 would have been perfect for me.

I'm craving this release more than any of the others I've checked out. Heck, I still have my D2 ATMA.

I dont think Diablo III will come out in 2009 though, it will probably come out in 2010 since Blizzard says they only do 1 major release a year. This year its Starcrafts turn

That seems to be the general feel I get from reading other forums. Basically people don't think they will release them both at the same time because then people would potentially have to choose between them. I guess we'll just have to see.

Blizzard themselves have already answered that question and stated that releasing 2 games at the same time is not a problem for them, they said enough people will buy the games to worry about that.

It was at the french blizzcon equivalent they said that.

All I want is no teleporting assassins, no whirlwind druids, no frozen orb barbarians...

The whol synergy bullshit and runes that let you use other skills was just down right fucking retarded and ruined the game for me.

I put 5 years or so into d2, had tons of accounts, hardcore/softcore everything, godly pvp smiter paladin that would beat level 99s at level 87 and they were hacked.

Everything gone when they released that new shit.. so ridiculous.. Get rid of that, and I will love this game forever..

Keep it in, probably won't play it as much as it pains me to say that.

I've been watching this off and on, so far it looks good, but I do have to agree with Cox on this one, leave the skills to the classes.

    Don't expect D3 this year...

If Bnet is not ready for SC2, I am guessing it isn't ready for D3. Plus they have said D3 won't come out until after SC2. Still if D3 is ready to go maybe they could launch it before SC2... but I am doubtful.

I agree. Based on the statements it sounds like SC2 is mostly done, but the BNet upgrades still require a lot of effort and are the major holdup. Even if D3 was in the same state as SC2, they couldn't launch because the BNet upgrades are a prerequisite.

As I have said to others, it looks more like a race between D3 and GW2 atm...

They should release it now even if it doesn't work and then release an "expansion" with a working Bnet.

This works for me since I'm biting my finger nails in anticipation for both games =P

Patience is my approach, but I do want to see both before I die.
