yeah pretty much. Yeah you get in by pre-ordering. But the sooner you pre-order the sooner you get into beta.
Nah im not sure if im interested enough to do that. I only do that for games like demigod which I know I am going to like... The reason i beta MMO's is to know if I would play it.
well the game looked interesting so I was hoping people would too be interested, however, there are too few that would try out games on release and if your not playing on release in FFA games then you might as well not play at all. It looks like a mixture of AoC and Vanguard, but because those games failed people are skeptical about picking up similar games, even though for AoC's case it wasn't that the game failed its that XoO failed the game. Even in the future the only thing I can see that will maintain a high audience in XoO is Star Wars and Diablo 3. Champions Online, Jumpgate Evolution, Huxley, Global Agenda, and a lot of other games will never be played for various reasons. So I guess its nice if your in a consistant game now but, they are far and few between. Also, I generally try and get into every beta (if its free) because I do not have stupid high expectations of games that most people have and can play just about anything if others are playing. If its pay to preview then I generally try and see if anyone else will be playing.
