I know several people have been most curious about my whereabouts over the past few weeks. I simply took a break from the computer forums/gaming for a small while. Now this wasn't a life journey or anything just relaxing. Catching up on good ole anime shows like One Piece and Haijime no Ippo 2, while catching up with old classics like Trigun, Outlaw Star and even some TV shows like House, Dexter, and Smallville. Anyway, this wasn't a life journey or anything and I sure as hell didn't learn anything from it so...im back. I will be playing catch-up so if anyone needs anything just PM me, I cleared out my inbox so you can now send me more. xD
Lol I was just watching trigun this morning ^.^ made me so sad to see geneon to go under soo many truly epic series. Trigun, Hellsing, Gungrave <3
when did he say hello? but yea ippo 2 is good. But do you mean dexter as in dexter and his stupid sister deedee and his lab that is hidden in the bookcase that goes up to the ceiling but still manages to slide upward its full length?
Yea I do. I usually wait for more than a few episodes to be out though so I can actually see an entire scene in one sitting rather than waiting a week to just watch two people scream at each other. If its good I watch it. Though most anime is not good. I think he ment Dexter as in the showtime series of the serial killer. Season 4 has started so new episodes ftw.(at least I hope this is what he's talking about) It's one of the few TV series I can actually stand to watch. Side note and a bit derailing. I wonder what Japanese call American cartoons and if its as taboo/sub culture as anime is in the states.
Japan from my understanding embraces anime and actually treats it mainstream much like our movie stars. Voice actors down there are often good looking, have a very good voice, and is hard to achieve. Although they do see a distinction between various types of anime such as children-based anime like Yu-gi-oh and more adult anime like Evangelion which has a lot of blood, violence, and mental processing needed to decipher the ever confusing anime (which is actually my one of my fav anime btw). So basically its a good thing down there, although hardcore types aka "Otaku" are the strange and wierdos that collect girl anime figurines and are losers. And yes, I did mean Dexter as in the serial killer. I can honestly say I was more of a Scooby Doo and GI-Joe kinda guy. Although I still remember watching Doug.
I ment American cartoons not anime. Like do they have people who sit around and watch every episode of x-men or spiderman from back in the day with japanese subtitles.
They have a LOT of websites with shows like House, Bones, Heroes, etc. with subtitles. Not sure about cartoons, i've seen Clone Wars on these websites so they have a few.
I like some of the old anime like Fist of the North Star, Lodoss War series, SFII V, Akira, Ghost in the Shell original... you know, back when anime was bad ass. I generally hate anime now due to the sissying down of it all. Main characters are usually pussies, if not in strength, then in character. The plots don't make sense anymore either. Not sure how the Japanese feel about western cartoons, but when I had asian friends in high school, they made fun of western animation all the time. To their credit, western superhero animation was pretty bad, with inconsistent character faces and choppy frame rates. The Warner Bros. cartoons where awesome though!
go watch Code Gess, both seasons. storyline and char are the best, main char makes you hate him one ep but admire him the next. and there has never been nor ever will be a better ending
Really, it is just another Gundam Wing. I didn't really find it that impressive to actually follow the series.
Tom and Jerry are still on around noon on Cartoon network, that shit never gets old. I miss Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny cartoons the most though. :/
