Finally getting inside Dracula's castle in Castlevania 3 was epic.

Also getting a few game-winning caps in TFC matches was some of the best gaming experiences I've had.

Spent about 8 hours in Guild Wars trying to clear the UW with a pub before anyone wrote any guides on it. We wiped at the Terrorwebs after too many people had left and our Meteor Showering tank had too high DP.

As far as XoO related -

Meeting up with some XoO during the GW Factions beta thing. Think they were from the long defunct Pacific division, which was nice for the most part.

Lasting more than 5 minutes in HoH vs iQ while in Sigils. I think we may have managed a kill or two.

Running late night eoe spikes and runner builds in HoH on TV. I don't care what you think, but it cracked me up.

Spending about 6 hours in Urgoz with XoO when we didn't have a clue on what to do. On one occasion, we wiped at the magically appearing Wardens bridge. On the other, everyone's DP was so low at Urgoz that we had to quit (eoe was unheard of).

Oh I know a favourite moment form GW!!!

All I used to do was FoW runs. I was always the leader adn played W/N which everyone seemed to think was useless. Although, I was easily one of the best PvE Wars in that game. I was a master a clearing FoW and knew everything about the place. Brought a team in and we cleared everything except left the hydras for last. We went in and someone did something stupid and got everyone killed except me since I was totally awesome. I managed to kill 10 of the hydra but it didnt matter in the end since everyone was dead :( I was pretty pleased with myself. Such good fun used to be had in FoW. Back when groups actually would listen and enjoyed experimenting with new things.

There is no tank like a W/N, I don't care what anyone says.

I vote for the first fight against Magus in Chrono Trigger, when the light turns on slowly and the kickass music turns on.

Oh, and this sounds pathetic, but finally getting the perfect ending in FFX-2... ugh. Took forever.

Maybe then. These days all the noobs use an A/E Shadow Form tank which is invulnerable to everything but touch necros, so an infinite number of hydras couldn't kill it.

    There ya go Roch.

EQ1 definitely for me. Memories including... being the original Afromancer, Completing the epic necro quest, soloing the epic monk quest... as a necro, several Kunark pre-nerf items (fungi staff!), soloing group/small raid content, getting paid to pull bosses for people, clearing Plane of Fear solo for my raid at 50, Having the most ridiculous faction in the game (somehow raised my faction with Halflings to max without killing anything for them.. which I only noticed when my invis dropped in the middle of their town), being an original member of NDS, 5 manning the Kunark dragons via LifeBurn and having massive health pools. That's about my top list for that, though there is so much more as I spent about 7 years playing it and I keep in touch with some old necros that are *still* playing.

i would like to point out that Roch's post is 2 days NEWER than the obvious reference to AT-ATs despite the way that the multi-quote orders them newer first.

roch owned again in the quest for excessive posting... his upcoming best gaming memory will be his spot as top cheerleader for Sargeras progression next patch

Seems like GW was a good experience for all. For me the main thing that made GW so good was all the friends I had in the game, After a while I didnt play much so I just talked to people.

On a side note how many people plan to play GW2?

Don't know if this was mentioned but:

Playing Call of Duty 4 with Xen, we walked into a server and began dominating it. We never stopped getting choppers, our kills were high, the other team was getting slaughtered, then it started.

One person dropped, then the next, and the next. Soon the whole clan got booted from the server! Lol, it was our very first "banned for being too good" ban, ahh, the memories.

GW2 is pretty high on my wishlist, and probably many others' as well. If they use a more darkfall-esque combat system (but none of the rest of it...) it will be pretty close to Harlequin's description of an ideal MMO in the other thread...

playing tfc vs a guild with a known cheater. this guy was a massive tool and got caught wallhacking, but was using a diff name and IP address to evade the ban. cant remember what league(I wan to say IGL) but it was on our best map, pipezone. we absolutely demolished them at one point pushing them all the way back to their respawn and camping them in there. pz was a zone control map and if you got all zones you got a quad dmg buff, so we would all cap and have them stuck in their spawn and we would suicide rush grenade spam them and just chain kill the fuck out of them. we threw every shred of sportsmanship out of the window for this one. after the blood was let I penned what was considered by most in the tfc community to be one of the finest match writeups(at least up there with the tmp vs foom writeup)in history.

I have some good ones..being the first mayor in swg..having the first city in swg..being the first city to reach level 5..Xen did everything first in SWG.

We did not allow any imp to use an atst while flagged..people IM us and we would kill any atst. We did not allow any IMP to have a *fort*? I forget what the combat center was called.

We ruled sunrunner server. Last I checked the xen guild was still there..being run by an original member...Rebels still yell "follow Trambok" into battle..even tho they have no Idea who Trambok was.

After the "valentines day massacre"(we lost our fortress that had stood for years)
Xen never recovered its glory as a combat guild...but kept its economic power.

We did everything first that could be done in swg.

But my fondest memories were of... Planetside

Also my first pc shooter..redneck rampage...getting drunk* in game* and trying to keep from getting killed by the farmers..."Geeet offa Ma Laaaaaaanndddd"

    anyone remember virtual world?

Being the first to gain master in the NorCal Virtual World playing Red Planet. I also tested in a Barge or whatever they call it (basically it was the heaviest ship with the strongest lasers). People were telling me that I was crazy for taking the Masters test with that ship and this was the first Masters tournament held at that location. Speed wins but I had a great run smashing all the Specs double and tripple boosting on the map! ;D

Trambok was XOO Poostick who joined in the planetside days..he was the best combat medic and tactician in game. He was our field General and second in command and also my real Life bud of many many years. Trambok came up with many of the medic tactics that every other medic in game would follow.

The massacre...after ruling sunrunner server totally..without question for two years. Many rebels were trickling over to the IMP side to look for more action. It reached a breaking point before valentines day...still no one guild could take us..not 6 guilds could take us.
On valentines day..every IMP guild on sunrunner attacked us together. It was epic..but brutal. We lost our combat base that had stood for almost 2 years..where as an IMP base we would destroy within hours of being built.

They kept pounding us after that..hunted us at every turn..we were the ones to beat..they finally did..and kept on top of us.

Our one guild had to bow down to the Imperial combine.
We had amassed such wealth by this time and resources out the ying yang that we kept out economic power. With that we forced a truce...one that did not let us rule..but let us keep trading and dealing with the IMPS.

My charactor was I'moch quells..leader of the guild..founder of the first city in SWG (on all servers)..making me the first Mayor in SWG.

The city still stands as the oldest city in swg..its name has been changed...its outside Theed.
    We had named it Xenia.

I remember when I joined back in 2005, had lots of fun doing GvG and doing HoH with the people that started out in this guild.

    Thread-Necro-Spree!

Definitely playing my first time in a GvG as Monk. The other monk dropped during load (my awesome luck... QQ).

We got morale boost around 5 minutes and won the game by 10 minutes, flawless victory. I kept the red bars even while our runner spammed heal party as fast as he could.

I ran around like a freaking lunatic the entire match... I was greatly appreciative that we were running a Crip Shot Ranger at the time. =)
