Omg dude I was like, "dude this looks kinda cool..." then I heard Jim Kirk and I was like "HOLY FUCKING SHIT YES!" followed by explosions and J.J. Abrams and I was like "GOD YEEEESSSSSSSSSssssssssssss" and I ran to the bathroom.

And that was pretty much my afternoon.

  6. Since the original star treks were awful, the movie looks like an improvement.

Star Trek is usually disappointing with video games, but even the orginal series wasn't bad... Think about how much of a leap it was in the 60's in both sociopolitical and technological standards

Considering how bad most recent movies and TV series have been, its pretty hard for the new movie to be worse. Besides, it's time Star Trek went back to its roots - styrofoam-chewing, green-girl skirt chasing, and fuck the prime directive! Not this awful goody-goody socialist utopian paradise that the Next-Gen series brought into being.

Ive actually never watched star trek, which is weird for me; and never seen any of the movies, again; weird... but this looked really really good to me. I thought the Special effects looked dynamite and the storyline of the captain's son taking over is a good call for my generation. That is all

We shall see. My initial reaction was that he looked much too young to be a captain, but ... anyway. If they have an excuse for it, maybe it will be tolerable.

All fine with me, as long as they film the nerd riots for the rest of us to laugh at.

I watch star trek and have since i was too young to remember. I look forward to this movie since I have been craving a new star trek movie, I just wish it was TNG. Just like any other movie I'm not going to expect much of it so I won't be disappointed.
