He likes standing in front of my fire ones, too. Y'know, the ones that do thousands of damage in seconds.
Generally when you melee baal his AI tells him to switch to use a good number of melee attacks, this number increases for the amount of melee attackers, so generally a minion master wont have much trouble with baal because of all the melee attackers. Why Baal is so easy for sins is because of the shadow warrior's melee mixed with the aggro control of cloak of shadows and then mix in fade for any elemental that does come your way and gg.
I hate being a low level sorc so much! I'm going ice orb/fire wall because its easy. lol but man at level 21 firewall jsut doesnt cut it.
Heh. Yeah, I wasn't even using that... pure lightning build, and my merc was dead because I was out of gold too. I just put down lightning traps and used burst of speed to run out of the way of his attacks from a distance... he didn't bother to teleport out of the way of the sentries or anything. It's probably not the easiest hell Baal kill I ever got ... but it was up there. Much quicker than the bowazon at any rate.
Before the ladder reset I was working on a point efficient chantorb, basically what I calculated is that you only gain about 150 dmg per orb spike with maxing out ice bolt, where as if you didn't max it out you get around 500 instead of 650, which is still very manageable to pull off, and seeing as with 17 into cold mastery you neg 100% of their cold resistance you can easily pull it off with 6 and skill items, so generally you only need: 20orb 6coldmast + prereq = 31 point req for your end game attack spell WHICH MEANS By level 80 you have 91-31=60 skillpoints to spend on character versatility. Which is exactly as much as you need to max out Enchant, and with a maxed out enchant you can apply a party bonus to characters while out of game, which means that you can apply the damage even without applying the extra life bonus for extra people in the realm since enchant lasts so long. We are talking about 1000 fire dmg to your weapon... any character any level. It's a shame that inferno is so nerfed though.
I've seen someone's enchant hit closer to 2500 fire damage... not sure on the exact figure - it could have been more - but suffice it to say it's easily enough to kill normal Andariel with one shot.
Oh yeah, I remember those days. Those enchantress's come into the act 1 new game games, and we would like rape everything in one shot and jump super levels...
It's about 1750 fire dmg with full skill gear and charms, but norm andy only has 1024 HP and seeing as that in all difficulties she has -50 fire resist (knowledge from the old c3p0 datamining days) in all difficulties it should only be 768 chant to 1shot andy.
Still kicking around USwest ladder at odd hours. I have some nice stuff saved up that I don't plan to use. Im not making a druid or zon. Minion masters are fun. I made a ridiculous build which ended up having lvl 40 skill in everything relevant and at least 21 in everything that wasnt. Clay golems are the only golem that increase in health per skill level. The others only increase with mastery. So clays can go all the way up to 40k easily. The others top out at around 9500, which is still a crapton. I was going to max clay golem for the uber tank, but considering how much combined tank power the skellies grant. And the fact that the golem will have about a 1 in 40 chance of being attacked anyway... Maxed fire golem does about 1100 dmg, 100 holy fire and has almost 10k hp. Fun stuff. EDIT: If you could enchant skellies I would grow an evil laugh just so I could use it.
I am on US west ladder add griswald50 to your friends list. got three characters noob warrior lvl 75, zealerdin 71 and soso light lvl 70. have no gear worth talking about. traded a normal forge for a set of low chances and a quehagens.
XoO-Sirius on USWest. Not there very often at the moment though, and all my characters would be NL now :x Still, if I see any action going on I can make something new.
