Seriously, our education system is so fucked up. Just once I want to see a teacher beat the shit out of a student for misbehaving. It is not as if the student will get discipline from anywhere else.
hahahahahahahahahaha....i totally had a teacher do that exact same thing my freshman year of highschool to some dumbass that would never shutup and stay facing forward...but he didn't quite or get fired or sued or anything.
I was talking to a friend last night over in Houston. Yesterday his english teacher showed up to class drunk, and got so angry at a kid he punched a metal wall and broke his hand.
The drunk teacher should be fired, Taz. But I would hope that the Houston middle school's PTA would get together and request that the school superintendent be let go and the teacher re-instated. I think it's awesome that the teacher found a way to enforce respect that didn't permanently hurt the student. Corporal punishment should never have been removed from schools.
I agree, the showing up drunk is in very poor taste, however, breaking your hand on a metal wall does entitle some sense of bad assness among students. I doubt that kid fucks around in there any more.
fuck my mom is dealing with this shit now. She called a kid a Dumbass because he asked if he could throw away his practice test to study for, so she said "sure, if you want to be a dumbass" for the upcoming test they had. So he went and cried to mommy and now she is getting disciplined or some shit. 25 years of teaching and this is what she gets. Kids these days don't know respect. Fucking pathetic if you ask me. Bring back paddling I say. Student rights have swung too far and it's now student against teacher, guilty until proven innocent in schools now a days. Where as before it used to be the other way. Sickens me that this shit continues to happen.
i deal with kids all day at work ... some of em are awesome and have respect and such and the parents themselves do aswell some kids are just total asshats ... its amazing never would i disrespect an elder (or authority) they way some of these kids do ... then again half the kids i deal with have nannys and crap ... its just boggles my mind cuz respect is just goin down the tube
At my son's school there is one teacher that makes the kids do pushups (he taught kids in the Air Force for 25 years). I never got paddled (and I'm pretty old), but my Dad still remembers his knuckles bleeding from getting hit by nuns with rulers. I don't think the rulers worked on my Dad, but I am surprised how disciplined my kid's elementary school is, those kids wouldn't dream of talking back to a teacher. I assume it gets worse in middle/high school though. The sad part is that it only takes one bad kid to really bring an entire class down, not really fair to the teacher or the rest of the class. If I ever talked to another parent and they told me the teacher called their kid a dumbass I'm pretty sure I'd laugh, if it was my kid I'd ask them what the heck were they thinking...
It wasn't really needed that she call him a dumb ass, it really served no point other than to humiliate the kid for a second. He asked a stupid question, no reason for an even worse answer. However, if that kid continually acted out all the time and was preventing her from teaching, that is a different story.
yeah, my dad told me about getting a fight in gym class and the teacher pulled them apart, put boxing gloves on them, and sent them back in to resolve things. the reason we have school shootings is because we force it all to stay bottled up until the little pansy snaps.
He is Taz. He always acts out, is the worst kid ever, but the parent is all like "Not my precious little angel..." She didn't mean to call him a dumb ass, it was more of, "Hey can I throw away this test so I don't have anything to study for the midterm" so she replied back with a smart ass comment saying "yeah if you want to be a dumb ass" She wasn't calling him one to humiliate him, she said it as if, I can't believe you really asked that question etc...
cox can i call your mum's workplace and tell the admin there that she is an awsome teacher and im glad she called that kid that cause he keeps bothing me while im in class?
