0 A.D. Get in the Game Contest

  1. Greetings, XoO; Long time to see =D

I just wanted to come by and help promote a new (the first actually) contest for the game I am working on called 0 A.D. The contest is called Get in the Game, and it is available to anyone and everyone and is your chance to have something straight from you in the game itself.

In simple terms, the contest is having members of the community record Battlecries to be used by the various armies in the game. If you are interested in getting your voice in one of the largest freeware games ever made, all the details can be found here. Being in the sound department I will be one of the judges of the contest.

Info on 0 A.D. itself can be found at the homepage http://www.wildfiregames.com/0ad. We were recently nominated for best indy game by moddb.com, and have been garnering more and more attention. Check us out, the game is really amazing.

  5. Your link is 'borked' again. The closing parenthesis is not included in the url tag. Looks good from the screenshots though, plus it's free.

  6. Good to hear the game is going strong. Hope you're enjoying working on it! :D

  7. good to hear from you pdizzle... Might give this a go then.

So when I win, can I have my name called The Cox in game? =P

  8. I don't know how Credits will work, if you will be publicly mentioned in the game or not, but your battlecry will be guaranteed to be associated with the military chosen.

If however you win, I'll do what I can to make it so. I'm one of the judges...Just don't tell me which is yours if you do enter.

On another side publicity note...I'll be working on a promotional video for the game soon. One of the artists hooked me up with the map editor and how to use it, so I can set up some awesome shots. The game itself moves too slow to productively create a huge army in a small amount of time. But the game is still awesome!

If you guys are interested in the game, check out the forums!
