Push is one of those movies that you will either love or hate, there really seems to be no middle ground with it. If you like movies that focus on super powers (X-Men, Heroes, etc) you will probably take something away from this movie. The plot itself is a little cliche; human experiments on the run from the government (which in this case is called Division) and they all band together to try and take Division down. A lot of people will be irritated by the movies strange pacing. It starts off slow (almost painfully) but by the time the second half of the movie comes along it's like riding a roller coaster that's going down at a ninety degree angle only to level off again after about twenty minutes. The actors save quite a bit of the film. Dakota fanning plays her roll well and Chris Evans shows that he's not just a pretty face. They have to salvage some pretty corny lines through out the entire course of the film, so overall the entire cast did pretty well. Overall, I'm not sure if I should recommend this movie as it hits some points and misses others. The entire thing is slightly above average and the strange pacing and odd plot will make some people shy away, but in the end it was a decent movie.
Overall I enjoyed Push. See it only if you have ALREADY seen Taken. Taken = 10/10 Liam Neeson = Awesome. His voice is awesome (He's the dad in Fallout 3). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvUxdQ4q-Lg If you didn't think Taken was awesome, you are probably not a man.
taken was alright, he needs to own more. the new underworld was suprisingly good, it actually had plot...and awesome stuff. going to see international tomorrow.
Heh when I saw the preview for Taken where he says "I have gained abilities throughout my career that will make your life hell" I was like as what? Raz Ah Ghul?
actually he said "I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you."
